So I just went to log on, spammed for about 15 minutes and got a queue! Hooray! Then, within 2 minutes, an error message came up over the top of my queue "The World is Currently Full."
Totally just got trolled by SE.
Oh well, back to clicking every couple minutes.

happened to me yesterday, will happen for the next week
See they could totally have fun with that and ease some tensions at the same time by continuing those messages "The world is currently full... Of delicious pudding! We had a spill, and we're working on eating our way back down to bedrock so we can spawn your character, but it's going to take us a few minutes. interns can demonstrably only eat so much pudding per hour before they just aren't the same anymore, but we're working on it! Please enjoy this lovely hold music while you wait!"

I actually just got in... the weird thing is, I had no queue.

That is nothing, I was in a queue with 33 players ahead of me. It worked perfectly until I was at 1 player ahead of me. Then when it is supposed to refresh it refreshed me right out back to the character screen with a big 1017 error! I was fulled for a good 3 minutes! :(

I can't help but wonder what changed between Open Beta and Early Access? There were a ton of people on during Open Beta and I never had any problems logging on. What's changed?
I got better one Bartel....Logged on and got barely picture of my character in game(where loading screen fades and goes to ingame) then BAM 1017 world full

I made a thread because I thought it was funny, and I thought it would be a change of pace from the other million threads complaining. No need to be an @#%^ about it.

But it is true
I only started looking into this game..Friday..after a friend I made on WoW basically told me this was a game I needed to check out, if WoW was boring me. She knew I had played XI for years (as did she). Talking around, found out other friends had played in beta as well, and most of them really enjoyed it.
So here I am, all ready and excited about tomorrow, thanks to Beta players.
Now times that by a lot, and now we have the issue.

You have a very valid point. Word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertising.

It's the best form of advertising because people are more apt to trust the opinion of a friend or acquaintance than they are to trust the claims of the person/company trying to get their money. And considering that, this log in debacle doesn't bode well for SE.
