you can by using quick craft but you get liek a third of the xp you would get from doing it by hand and has a cap of 60 items.
Its great if you just want to make a stack of buff food to sell. load er up and go make dinner or something.
The cap is 99. And as far as I can tell, you gain the same amount of XP as you would if you straight crafted with no quality improvement. It's incredibly useful for making a ton of low level stuff like copper/bronze ingots. Get the mats, set it to make 99, and go do laundry or something.
oh? grilled trout told me max of 60.
and yeah that's what i meant though. if you're straight grinding the item to sell its worth it. if you want to do that for xp its not. an extra like 20 seconds for 2/3 more xp is worth it.
It's possible that you might have only had the materials to make 60 of them, hence the 60 item max. I can reaffirm Bartel's statement regarding the 99 quick synth item max.
Yep, this is exactly what I was going to post. Also, pro-tip for those new to crafting, the lev. 15 skill from weaver, Careful Synthesis,is one of the best skills in the game. It's a 100% success chance, and gives about 5 less progress than what standard synth does. So if you only have 10% durability left, you are guaranteed to complete the craft if your progress takes it to 100%. Rapid synthesis, the 15 armorer skill, is also incredibly useful for anything that has a very high progress bar (90+). It is basically like a triple standard synth, but at only 40% success. If you combine it with steady hand however, it bumps up to 70% and becomes incredibly valuable for saving progress for HQ attempts.
Just some food for thought.
