okay im all hooked up

I hooked it up as well, I didn't see anybody in there though. Are we just going to use it to raid or whatever?

Looks like no one is using it....would really help if they did because I needed to talk to anyone that is logged in to check something since no one that is logged in would bother coming and checking the forums while they play.

I thank you greatly for the opportunity, because I am sure we will use this later down the road. Maybe when we can consistently log in to the game. =) I said something to my friend about it, I want to get in and figure out volumes and settings that work.

Find some people talk to loud and other are quiet? Well try this below it should fix things for you.


Go to Setup
Enable Direct Sound
Select the SFX Button
Select Compressor and click Add.
Under Compressor Properties use the following settings:
Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. (I use 15)
Attack = 0.01
Release = Around 500
Threshold = Around -30
Ratio = 100
Pre delay = 4.0
Done!

I'll actually run vent when I can get in game.

Well like anything in life you get what you pay for, I know raid call is free but it does not allow you to customize and be in control of the over all server like Vent does. Raid call can also be quite confusing. And as per the Quality it depends really on your set up and headphones. As I have used both and the codec for both seems Exactly the same Ones does not seem better.

Also depending on who you are talking with and what kind of setup / mic they have you will get the static / muffled / craptastic sound doesnt matter which system you are using.
