That's weird, I actually really like the theme for Ul'dah now. I can understand how one might think the night time theme is cheesy (I find it peaceful and relaxing), but the daytime theme makes me feel like an adventurer!

At least people seem to have stopped the crying about the main battle system and the armoury system.

As someone who was there when 1.0 launched, I'm happy to have been witness to all that's gone on. While stupidity has reared its ugly head on occasion (grass complaints), it was a unique experience. I've often wondered if companies will take a look at ARR (provided the game does well, and I hope to god it does) and see that sometimes it's alright for a company to apologize for ******** up and make things right.

I was taking about how people were complaining how the speed of combat was more like a modern MMO than FFXI, and how they kept the armoury system instead of implementing the bad job design from FFXI.

Though if you want to talk battle themes, the old Coerthas battle theme from 1.0 was awesome. I'm glad they kept it for ARR but I don't get to hear it enough (I used to chain pull mobs while in Coerthas just so that I could hear that tune over and over >.>).
