I saw that this morning when I logged in to check sales, but didn't notice that there would be an associated client update.

I wonder what will be changing. Maybe it'll be the issue that has been forcing me to force quit the application after logging out.

I hope so Pickins. It doesn't do that on my desktop, but it screws with my laptop and PS3 has been having issues the few times I've used it.

Here is what they've done:

[EU] FINAL FANTASY XIV: Hot Fixes (Oct. 24, 2013)
The following issues were addressed.

- When using the Unending Journey, certain cutscenes would not replay.

- The client would not close properly when exiting the game.

- In “The Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 5,” enemies would become immobile under certain circumstances.

- Certain graphics in the seasonal event “All Saints’ Wake” would not display properly if Glare was turned on under Graphics Settings in the System Configuration menu.

"- The client would not close properly when exiting the game. "

Ya I had that happen a few times. Good to know it wasn't just me and it's fixed.

It would just go to a black screen? I've had that before too, but tbh I just blamed Windows 8, it never occurred to me that it could be the game client! XD

Cool, I can fianlly watch the final storyline cutscenes since I was "coerced" into skipping them my first time through. Not that it will be the same though.

Was happening to PS3 users, too, and they don't get the option to close it from task manager like PC users do. Smiley: laugh

You could also, i dont know, do that dungeon again. You still get 100 points so its not pointless.

You can be sure that in 99% of the runs, people will complain if you want to watch the cutscene. Time is money they say!

I had that problem; couldn't watch the cutscene in the run I did because people were in a rush and I couldn't watch them from my inn room.

I'm glad they fixed it.

So instead of head butting a brick wall one time, your suggesting is to do it over and over again expecting that the wall will eventually give?

you just tell the party its your first time and you're watching the CSes. tough luck for them. or be apologetic about it. either way, they can't kick you. bonus points if you play a healer/tank.

When I get to this point I'm going to be honest - I'm on an SSD so stuff will load quickly, and I read way, way faster than average. I'm gonna read the CS as quickly as I can, but I AM going to read them.

I play tank. I told them I was watching the cutscenes. Then, they started ********* Since I didn't have a lot of time that night and I wanted it to be done, I decided to skip the cutscenes and watch them from an Inn. On the second cutscene, the group pulled trash and two people died and someone said: "where the **** is the OT?"...

I'd rather skip the cutscenes and have a smooth run than having someone leave and waste time.

I'm getting an SSD precisely because of prae loadscreens. Its a dumb excuse for something i should have had ages ago anyway.

and i'd rather not base future decisions off of one-time anecdotal evidence /shrug
