Tip#3: Whack him with normal melee attacks for a while when the fight first starts, until he uses the first Weight of the Land (plumes) attack. This builds up the Limit Meter. Having a level 2 Limit for use on the Heart phase will make the fight easier.

BLM can also use sleep repeatedly to build up LB bar, obviously wont put him to sleep but builds the bar.

This is true? Maybe pre-heart this would be good. But really DPS-wise the damage is > building LB. Yeah?

Yea, just use that method for building LB during first phase if your party is having issues destroying heart. But if you're having that much problem on the heart phase, phase 5 is gonna be a *****

I got my first crack at Titan hard mode today. 3 different duty finder groups for 9-10 attempts. Given the stories I heard before hand, it's not as bad as I thought. I figured I'd be dead in the first 30 seconds. Not the case. I died once from moving the wrong way and getting boxed in by plumes. The other deaths were all after a tank went down and we were headed towards a wipe anyway.

This is fight that seems like it should be easy, but it's not. The mechanics are simple, there's just a lot of mechanics to remember. My two main issues are:
1. Plumes. Trying to predict where they won't be. I get the stick and move tactic. I keep thinking I'm going to move into another plume. How can I determine the best direction to proactively move?

2. Gaol. When i go to break someone out of a rock, I lose track of where Titan is in his attack cycle. I figure this is something I'll get better at with practice.

Then there was the bad luck factor. One duty finder group that was going pretty well. Me on monk and then 3x bard for DPS. I liked this setup because it was easier to dodge plumes. The downside was I had the only offensive LB. Heart phase comes and I got gaoled...twice. Go figure.

So far though, I like this fight. It's fun. Maybe I'll feel differently after doing it 100 times with no success. I've always liked a challenge.

Plumes specifically target players, so you really don't want to run into a cluster of people. I think it works best if you try to move outwards (unless that means you move towards the tank/Titan himself).

This really shouldn't matter too much. Knowing generally when stomps are coming is nice, but not really necessary as a DPS. Just always be ready to dodge, is all the Titan fight ends up being.

If you're a healer, getting that first gaol down in heart phase is priority, but the rest should not be your focus.

Titan HM really just takes a lot of practice, and people with a consistent internet connection (be it 30 or 300ms ping).

As a rule, move in to out.

For those times, if you are having trouble, prior to the gaol breakout session, use "Sprint". This will give you an edge for the 15 seconds you need.
