The broken ps3 do worry me and it looks like MS has issues too.. I had the 360 and went through like 4 of them.. The failure rate was like 34 percent of launch several weeks or months later which was bad. Might be a few percent now but lets see what it is in a few weeks. Also looking at all the Amazon reviews of all the dead ps4 does not mean much since anyone with a account can post... I am sure allot of those people are xbox fan boys trying to fan the flames. It will also happen to the xbox one.

According to the class action lawsuit filed in California some years back, the failure rate of 360s was closer to 50%. And yet Microsoft still led over Sony in the North American market for much if not the entire last generation (so, you may cynically conclude that failures rates at launch play no part in a consumer's decision to get a console or to abandon it afterward).
However, not to worry, both Microsoft and Sony have solved this problem for all time: You can no longer use their consoles without first agreeing to never file a class action lawsuit against them.
