Got some work to do lol. RIP blizzard 2.
I capped myth and burned through turns 1-4 with all drg and healer drops. One shotted turn 4, cool. Beat titan a bunch to help fc. Mourning the last of a rather good generation. Really pissed at the changes to allagan boots of casting.

I'm not currently in a FC so the announcement of housing costs didn't hit me that hard. I just hope they make the costs something sensible when player housing is released.
I started out the weekend leveling miner up from 36-39. I was going for 40 but then the patch notes came out with info that they were nerfing xp for HQ leve turn ins. So I switched to leatherworker and took that 31-50.

Hm this weekened was spent burning leves for crafting both before the announcement to the nerfed HQ turn in and after. I haven't been at 0 leves in about 3 months. :P

and of course, end-game progressions!
- Beat Garuda, got Garuda's Beak (Spear) on the 2nd try!
- Beat Titan! Of course didn't realize I needed to kill him at the right time for progression for my relic weapon, but I beat that ******* nonetheless and got access to coil even though I'm woefully undergeared for it.
- Beat Chimera and AK, progressed in the relic quest to where I need to fight some beastmen ansd then Hydra next.
- Got my 3rd piece of DL armor and capped Myth 300/300 in week 1 of end-game.
Overall a great time, I am liking end-game so far... not sure why people say negative things about it... I'm having a blast!

They're nerfing the trips, but boosting the singles. I think it said they're adding more options for items too.

Yeah. :( Not sure how much of a nerf it will be. Midgard exploded yesterday. Haven't seen that many people on in a while and most of them were sitting at the turn in guy for the leves in multiple areas.

It's nice to be able to farm up ingredients for cooking, and to know I'll be able to farm up ingredients for carpenter and weaver later on... but maaaaaan botanist is painful to level, even burning through leves to do it.

I got everything that wasn't already 50 or 30 to 30 and did all the story quest up to 30 to get my Crown. So that leaves me with MNK,DRG, ARM,BSM, and LWK to get to 50.

Are you using manuals from the GC?
Don't really have enough GC points to spend on that - last time I checked I was at around 6K, and I'm saving those up for my next promotion.
Rested bonus is a huge boost, though. I'm logged out in Costa del Sol, and it's likely I won't be back in the game til after 2.1, so I'll have at least half a level of exp boost to play with then.

Finished gearing all crafting jobs, sans materia.

I tried to make some gil but the markets were a bit nuts. Did score a few mats for super cheap.
All in all, a productive weekend in game, even after attending 2 RL parties.

Yeah, they are a bit spendy. 2300 seals for the level II manuals. For gathering though, they stack with rested xp. Once you get up in the 40's it's definitely worth having a look at :)

*Made Buttons in a Blanket, La Noscean Toast, Button Mushroom Saute, and other good stuff for the market (and some for me).
*Got Warrior to 35 (Hello, Inner Beast) through Leves and a trip through Brayflox' Longstop. Held hate there pretty well for a first trip tanking on WAR.
*KOed Garuda a couple of times. Still no feather from that stingy bird. Too bad plume plucking isn't an enmity option.

Turn 1 is not too bad, our drg starts on the first snake and eventually will lb that snake, then will be moved over to the 2nd snake to balance out the difference. Just dodge his cone aoe and stay off the glowing panels and you will be fine. And remember to curb your dd around 75% hit points to a slime can be fed if that is what your party requests. That battle is about your attack anyway, you should be able to do it in full darklight.
If I am on and you need some help with titan, hit me up. If I can find my troops I can get you through.
