Help with heavensward content!! Plzzz Follow

#1 Mar 10 2016 at 4:55 AM Rating: Good
I just downloaded heavensward on my ps4 account for ffxiv, I downloaded the update and when I log in to ffxiv I get the heavensward start screen and cinematics and everything but when I play the game I don't get the content. I'm supposed to be able to lvl my characters to lvl 60 but my lvl 50 paladin does not gain any experience. My SE account and PSN accounts have different email addresses so I'm not sure if that's the problem but the SE account is not letting me update my email address right now. I also heard something about registering the game on my SE account but I don't know how to do that or if that could be the problem. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!!!

You completed the main story scenario from A Realm Reborn? You need to do a quest to get access to Heavensward content and its areas.

You need:

Pre-Requirements: Battle Class level 50 Complete 2.55 Quest “Before the Dawn”
Entry Quest: Coming to Ishgard
Quest NPC: Alphinaud
Location: Coerthas Central Highlands – Dragonhead X: 26 Y: 17 ( Intercessory X: 6 Y: 6 )

Quests don't effect the level cap. It goes up to 60 automatically once Heavensward is installed. Something else is going on here, but I play on PC, so I really couldn't say what the issues are on a PS4 account.

It's more along the lines of: Once HW is registered to your account. I have HW installed on my PS3, PS4 and PC and my account without HW registered is stuck at 50.

Well Im still not done with the main storyline so I'm hoping that's all it is but on mog station under heavensward it has the "o" on it so does that mean I'm registered? And if not then what do I do to register because I've been looking all around and I can't find any options to register.

If you registered it through the mogstation it should be fine. The only confusion on launch was that there were both pre access AND regular registration codes.

Those are the only instructions I can find.

Oh ok so I didn't need a registration code after all! Well I'm pretty sure now that it's probably gonna kick in after I finish the storyline and start the hw quest I hope! Cool, thx for all of your help! I really do appreciate it everyone!!!!

you SHOULD be able to earn EXP though. So something's off if you're not.

Yep, this threw me off as well. Really thought that could have been handled better

What was worse, is they didn't ship out the physical copies on time. Then they refused to provide people with a code, so most couldn't actually play any of the new content once early access expired.

So I still haven't accepted the quest in coerthas but it ended up kicking in randomly after a day so I'm gaining exp towards lvl 60 now. I guess it just takes a little time to kick in, n hopes this helps anyone else with the same problem! :)
