Install error - "cannot open output file"Follow

I'm trying to install FFXI (Amazon download) on my PC laptop. It begins the install/extraction, then gives a 7zip error "cannot open output file..." and is referring to the folder the install creates on my desktop. It repeats this every time I try, and I've tried re-downloading the whole thing as well. Same error every time, 100% repeatable. Anything I can do to remedy this?

Try installing 7zip if you haven't already, then do a manual extraction to a folder somewhere, then give that folder "everyone" security permissions for full access. after that, right click the extracted setup.exe file, and run it as administrator.

Turns out everything was extracting correctly and completely, but it was unable to launch the actual .exe installer after it was done. Launching the .exe is part of the script apparently but it wasn't able to do it. Manually starting the installer from that folder installed FFXI as expected.
