So this has been going on for a month now and I have run out of ideas on how to fix it. Firefox probably 3 to 4 times a day is acting like it just updated and asking me to verify each addon that I have installed. If I don't do it it doesn't install them and I have to go look each one of them back up.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox as well as the addons themselves. Heck I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 again reinstalling Firefox and the addons and I still have the problem.

I looked up this issue through google and the only solution I found was reinstall. Don't know what else you could really do?

Which version of Firefox? I know with 47 and beyond, you will no longer be able to use any unsigned add-ons

I am using the newest version. The two that I use are adblock and adblock youtube. I disabled the addon updates maybe that will help. Appreciate it :)

EDIT:

Even disabling the addon updates it still does it apparently.

Did you try the "restart with add-ons disabled" option yet? You could then turn them on one at a time to see which add-on is triggering the install check.

Are you talking about the popup you get when chrome wants to update?
