So...

I have (had) a roommate for the last six years. Let's call him "Stan".

For the last six years he has been my roommate. Five of those years he's been a co-worker. (Quit 3 months ago). He's been getting along on vet [30%](?) disability since then (not much $$$).

TIMELINE:

Friday night: I see him when I get back from work (1130PM-ish) He says he's grocery shopping tomorrow.

Saturday 1PM-ish: I wake up, he's not here. (shopping, right?) I go to work at 2:30

Saturday 11PM-ish: I get home from work. Not in his usual computer chair (next to me). Think nothing of it as he has chaotic sleep pattern.

Sunday 5AM-ish: I go to bed and he's not there (shared bedroom)......................WTF

*Sunday* 8PM-ish: Initial call to PD for an missing persons report.

Sunday 12PM-ish: Still not here. Where the fudge is he?

Sunday: 11PM-ish: Where the fudge is Stan? At this point I'm in contact with the hospital to see if they have an John Doe. ....No....Do the cops have an John Doe....No

Monday: 2AM-ish: Call PD again for missing persons/John Doe inquiry. Nothing,

Monday: 6AM-ish: Freaking out and.......................................................freaking out.Smiley: frown

EDIT: for Sunday 8pm

Not to make light of your situation but I must have been a bad roommate. Freshman year of college I my roommate didn't come back to the room for over a week straight. I just ignored this and enjoyed the time without him. Turns out it was "Hell Week" and he was pledging. I didn't know any of that. He shows up 7 days later and I say "Oh, you're back".

Also had a roommate sophomore year not show up for 24 hours. A bit unusual for him cause he was on his computer always. Again I didn't care. Then he limps in with his bike in pieces. Turns out he was hit by a car riding his bike to the store and was at the hospital getting patched up.

Hopefully your roommate shows up ok. Just having a good time somewhere and got distracted.

Does Stan have any family that you know about? Any other friends? Does he frequent any web sites with a user name you know?

And following on from that, does he have any other social media presence that you haven't thought to check lately?

And was he around for the creation of the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, The X-Men, and the Avengers?

2nd wife is deceased. Original family is in Erie, PA, I think but he's been estranged from them for many years. He doesn't Facebook and such, just games (STO, EQ, WoW) but he's unlikely to be playing any of those at the moment as his computer (desktop) is here and he's not. Anyone local he's likely to know would be affiliated with the Mission and I imagine I'd have heard something by now.

I failed to mention he's had a previous heart attack - bad enough for open heart surgery, so that's one major concern.

Also, this guy is as solid and predictable as an atomic clock. Not likely to just up and take off. Even if he did just that, the only thing he took with him when he left was his keys and wallet. Everything else he owns is still here.

Also, also: No vehicle of any kind, so he didn't drive away.

OK, still no Stan.

Aside from the fact that he's, y'know, my friend and all and I'm worried about his...continued existence:

Mofo didn't pay rent before he disappeared. He'd better be dead at this point because if he resurfaces, I'mma gonna kill him.

Heh, not really. I'm so stoked I'm guru I could almost care less.

Kidding, I'm sill freaking out.

"mofo" is filtered? REALLY?

Hello Bijou,

Have you considered that he may be standing right next to you but you don't see him? Because, you know, Bijou is blind.

Hope there's a good resolution to this.

Still missing. Protocol with the cops states that the name of an John Doe in the morgue will not be released until next of kin is notified was bent today by an officer - at my work for entirely unrelated reasons - to whit "The morgue doesn't have any JD's or your friend Stan".

Does he take any meds? I had a friend who went off of his bi-polar meds, and he was not the same person that I knew, until he got back on them.

Was Stan known for playing card games with wildly inconsistent bordering on nonexistent rules with children with gravity defying and perplexing hairstyles?

At this point Stan deserves to be punched in the kidneys.

I assume people are dead if I haven't seen or heard them talk in 4 days.

This has caused me to believe most of my family are zombies of some kind. Same things that happens to friends who go on vacation, which I assume is just them going to some where to eat brains, or maybe brians, i can never remember how that is spelt.

Anyway. Charge more for the next roommate. Check the cupboards, and pantry* first to make sure they aren't hiding. People can be sneaky...

*: pantry not panty. but check any random panties you may have at your place, just in case of shrinking powers or some shit
