Well I know there is a benchmark thread already... but I know a lot of times I see people asking about if a mac can run this game.

Basically I have a 15in. MacBook Pro 2009 edition with 2.66 GHz core 2 duo processor.

I ran the program on medium settings and scored a benchmark of 2500, so it's safe to say we can definitely play the game (rejoice!!!)

I was able to play XIV 1.0 with no problems on my MBP so I'm sure with no doubts this game will run even smoother!

P.s. I'm dual booting via bootcamp.

I'm trying to sell my 17" MBP with the AMD graphics, otherwise I'd install Windows via bootcamp and give it a shot. I'm downgrading to an Air so I have something I can travel with, I lugged this monster all the way to San Francisco and back and it was not pleasant.

Haha yeah I learned my lesson with my first ever laptop which was the one before my MBP. I bought a 17'' HP... it was really awesome when it was at home, but it was literally equivalent to carrying around a desktop lol!!!

Also, I just ran the game on high settings and got ~1600 - LOW. Hahaha well at least medium settings worked!!!

This game looks absolutely amazing I must say - visually that is, I won't comment on gameplay until I see some.

Have any actual battle movies been released yet?

Well the benchmark is all in game but you don't get to see the menu or anything. Not official beta videos like they had for Alpha yet.

I'm interested to see what an actual battle looks like... not a passive viewing of other people fighting.

Not quite sure why they wouldn't release a viewing of that?

I'm assuming it will be similar 1.0 mostly?

I expect we will see more official videos once the beta actually starts.

I must say, it's bitter sweet to see a post of mine which was just made about ~2 hours ago already 10 spots down the forum list :)

Good to see people are starting to get excited about this game again! The forum has been a dust collector for some time now!!
