Easily. First, just a game and you should really just relax. Second, the barrel could be along the edge instead the center or double barreled with the blade set in the center between the barrels. Third, katanas aren't always curved ... actually I think they're rarely curved. Fourth you can just not care about the mechanics and logic and go back to reason one. I mean, you can asspull a million ways to make it work.

You know, it looks like the blade is on the inverse of the curve. So this is like a Ruroni Kenshin Brand Inversed GunKatana...

I don't know whether to laugh my bum off or be impressed at the sheer number of refrences and gonads in the picture.
