Here.

Seems to be all the jobs together with one unaccounted for. Could it be Scholar or is it more likely to be Arcanist? What are your thoughts?

EDIT: Here's a version of the image with the jobs labelled, courtesy of Wint.

That's arcanist/summoner.

Still strange that arcanist is part of the "classical job circle" in the front, don't you think?

Not really, Archer and Gladiator are as well.

Summoner is on the left for sure but these are the jobs and not the classes by the look of things. It could just be Arcanist and they could be in the middle to promote them both. It's just odd that it's almost exactly the same as Scholar's AF armour and the Scholar gear in other titles.

What I was aiming at is, that in the front, only JOBS, not CLASSES, are displayed...
And that's bard (10 o'clock) and paladin (6), not archer and gladiator.

What's at 9 and 12 then?

Edit ah I see, 12 is Warrior, 9 is Summoner, I always forget about WAR being a Job. So that brings us back to what in the hell is at 3?

The Arcanist page on the official site doesn't have that hat, maybe it really is SCH.

And SE will totally surprise us in a few weeks with the announcement that,
unlike their FF XI counterparts,
scholars in FF XIV will use gun-books
and evolve into musketeers.

Though.. it is weird to place the class and job in the foreground, as it seems that only jobs are in the fore, while classes are in the back.

But there's no way they would make 2 book-wielding classes.

Also, that's definitely a mother f-ing blue mage in the back at 1-2 oclock.

They could make it so one uses tomes and the other uses grimoires as a distinction between the two books, similar to radicals and staffs for WHM and BLM.

I want to ask for a huge favor here. Can someone take that picture and type the names of the jobs/classes over them? Might help some other people as well.

They are nondescript, honestly. I was trying to puzzle them out but it looks like MAYBE a blue mage, and some jestery-looking female. Other than that, they aren't very obvious and could be hinting at anything.

I do like that they are still going with the "Wheel" formation they were so proud of prior to 1.0's release.

Well, if the elemental wheel is any indication, they are pretty much done with it...

im guessing with the summoner and (possible scholar) now we might see the next job as a BLU or RDM so that it has mage and melee types alike... considering were kinda short on the mage side and people want to see more melee... IF this scholar thing is real that is... if not were probably looking at the next job being a mage as well i would assume...

Site is releasing wallpapers for each Job, maybe we'll see SCH there.

Apparently my computer and the site are having a disagreement, but are they all essentially just the job and a white background? That makes it easier to vector and make your own, flashier, wallpapers and I'd be all for that.

They overlap one another, and all of the jobs are in front, with a lighter opacity secondary layer containing a bunch of hard-to-recognize classes/jobs in the background. It would be very difficult to silhouette them without some significant photoshop work unfortunately. However, if anyone is really interested, I could give it a shot to silhou out your favorite job/class... slow day at work today.
