Heya;

EB Games ARR CE

I'm looking at pre-ordering this tonight, but I don't have the full funds in my account to pay for it for another few days. Does anyone know if EB Games Canada charges on the ship date, this being in August, or the moment I pre-order it? Their pre-order policy says they could charge 10 days in advance to the ship date, if need be, think I'm safe? Or do they charge to just make sure you have the funds, and deposit it back later?

Normally I don't use online to buy my physical game copies, it was always just a 5 minute walk to EB Games, but I live in the middle of nowhere now, so I hope they deliver to my Post Office if they can't fit it in a P.O. box (which it probably wont fit in haha)

Thanks

Being its still going to be a while before the release why not wait until you have the full funds for it. Order it today or even next week won't matter. I'm waiting until probably the end of july beginning of august before I pre order mine.

The reason why I don't want to wait is because I don't know how many PS3 CE's will be available or if the pre-order codes are all used up. I would like to have the Cait Sith minion and Mog Cap + the week headstart.

If the EB games in Canada works anything like Gamestops here (and they should, I think its run by the same company) you can preorder and just put a small down payment of like 5-10 bucks now, and the rest will be deducted when the game actually releases. I'd reccommend either going into a store and asking, or contacting their customer support online to verify this however.

Sorry I should make it more clear in my first post, but it needs to be ONLINE only. EBGames.ca as the closest EB Games/Gamestop to me is nearly an hour and a half away with no way to get to them. My main question is if they charge my card through their online store.

It says "in some cases" they will charge up to 10 days before. I think you'd have to call and ask if ARR fits under this bill. Seems like no one here can really say. Sorry.

Welp, I managed to put some cash on the card, in full, to try it out. They will ship to me and it went through (YAY!) so now I'm just waiting on the pre-order code, anyone know how this code is supplied from EBGames online? All I received was a confirmation email but no serial attached.

Quote:
Dear EB Games Customer,

Thank you for pre-ordering Final Fantasy XIV: Realm Reborn on EBGames.ca. As a bonus, here is a code for the Early Access beta:
Instructions to sign up for early access to the game:

Visit http://na.square-enix.com/members to create a Square Enix account. You will need an active account to register for the early access. You will be notified via email prior to the launch of the game on when you can return and redeem your preorder code to unlock Early Access to the game along with instructions on how to receive your Cait Sith Doll minion and Mog Cap digital content.
