From the time 1.0 was released until Saturday I was dead set on rolling a Miqo'te. For a short time after they announce males, I considered going with one but decided to stick with a female. I had Mithra envy all through out FFXI due to my mistake of putting so much time in to an Elvaan male character. So when I logged in to beta for the first time, I created my cat lady and went to town. Something weird happened though.. during my journey through Gridania and it's surrounding areas, I came across a few Highlander ladies. Their vivacious hips, voluptuous breasts, and big hair started to intrigue me; much like a rap video on mute. I shrugged it off and continued leveling my Archer, trying to put the urge to go back to the character creation screen in the back of my mind. Toward the end of the beta weekend last night I figured what the hell. I spent the last 30 minutes or so putting together a new character and rolled in to Ul'dah on my new Pugilist. She was on the shorter side for a highlander, but with the body of Shakira and Selma Hayek all rolled in to one. Her fighting stance was believable and her long flowing locks meant business. She was, for lack of a better word, perfect. I do not think I'll be rolling a cat lady this time around.
I much prefer dogs to cats these days anyway.
