I have posted this in the beta bug reports section, but thought many of you would like to know. Background info: In our house, my wife, son, and I are all in Beta Phase 3. Wife and I and on PC's and my son is using the PS3. A couple of times on Sunday, we were all in a party in Gridania, when my son complained that he couldn't see us, though we were standing right next to him. On our screens, we were all together, but on his, he was alone. We could see others fighting on all the screens. I told him to log out and back in. He did and that corrected the issue. This happened a couple of times, so if you're on a PS3, be aware. If it happens again, I'll get cell phone pics.

There was some complaining about this on the beta forums. I wasn't playing with anyone so I didn't notice it a lot, but at one point I ran into a FATE and I saw all those people fighting but it took a good 15-20 seconds before the mobs appeared so I could target them. A few times I had to wait a few seconds for a quest giver to show up as well. It's not critical most of the time, but I'm sure this is something SE is aware of. After all this is only the first weekend of beta test for PS3 so I'm not too worried.

Hmmm... Nice find, post a link to where you posted in the beta forums if possible, so we can swing by and put a like on it. I'll tell my friends to do the same, so we can get it recognize. Again, good find.

I'll allow it, those not in won't be able to see it anyway. SE's twitter account has posted the beta forum links publicly as well.

OHHHHH WELLL!!!! In that case. I have a link for the screen shot section.

BTW, thanks for the PS3 info, when I get my PS3 invite on Fitday /em crosses his fingers, I will have to see if that's still there. I think they would like to get that fixed sooner than later.

I don't think it is a bug.. I think its lag do the the ps3 not keeping up in areas where there are a more than a few people or allot is going on.. I have experienced similar things not in party. I was standing there where people were just running by me and they were just appearing next to me and running away, I never saw them coming. another example is I walked into a room with allot of people and no one was there. took along time for them to show up.. I just think the ps3 is not handling the game and if you wait it will eventually show up... I think there will be another slight graphics downgrade for the ps3.. Definably frame loss going on too.

The only real bug i have seen is there seems to be some weird 3rd person view you get into where the camera is right behind the character and you can not see much around the character. Only way i found to get out of it is the home key on a kb. Well on the ps3 if you don't have a kb you are sol,

Any way I find this game extremely fun so far.

Anyone know if you can d/l the computer version if you have a ps3 beta code and run it on a computer too?

I don't know if I'd classify it as lag. There were others fighting around him. Also, we waited and moved around for almost 2 minutes. Even engaged a mob before giving in and logging out/in again.

Also, if you log into the beta test forums, you can dl and install the PC client from there.

Here's what I know about the beta tester codes and the PS3 codes.
Beta tester codes get you in the testing program. Once you're in, you can have access through PC or PS3. You can also access the beta forums and the PC client.
PS3 codes allow you to download the client from the Playstation Network.
If you have more than one person using a PS3, then each person needs to make their own user account, as well as their own PSN account (these are separate things).
For example, my PS3 has 3 user account with PSN accounts activated. I downloaded the client on my son's account, but I can still access it on the other two account. The difference is that when you start the client in your account, it will link that PSN account to your FFXIV account.
Hope this clears things. :)

Thanks AngusX I was hoping that was the case. My girlfriend got a beta code and wants to play on the ps3 so I was hoping too hop on the pc so It sound like I can. I hope my character transfers. I figured I would have to set up a separate user account on the ps3 and a psn account. She has a SE account already so nice. Nice I don't have too d/l the game again or rush out and get another ps3...

I had the same problem. Took me a while for figure out, hold L1 and use the left stick to zoom the camera in or out.
