I didn't get to play much last weekend, unfortunately due to work. Same this weekend, but I managed to get to a level 10 cut scene fight, and you can already out run certain atks, dodge certain atks, it's great that it's this early on.
Couldn't stand how mundane certain early fights were, you just had to hope you'd out live the enemy and that was it. Now if you play it right, you can win easily, or go to your doom in an instant. They keep this up, with challenging fights, it'll make the walk to end game all that much more interesting. Now if I could only stop working on these beta weekends...

It's taking most of us repeated tries to win the level 10 and 15 fights. I went 1/4 on the level 10 GLA quest. You can't just mindlessly spam abilities, you have to use them in the proper order, and in the case of that fight, you have to suck it up and be a tank and run in first near the end.

The level 15 fight with the mage took me 8 tries and finally realizing I had to use antidotes, cure, protect, and judicious tp use. It was great.

The THM 15 fight was so hard for me I finally tracked it to Gridania and unlocked conjuror and got it to 8 for protect. After that it was a lot easier just spamming Blizzard/thunder/and Cure. lol

Took me about 5 tries on that fight, and that was with talking to a friend of mine who'd done it already and neglected to mention the antidotes.
Then I noticed I was being poisoned and he suddenly remembered
I also made the mistake of doing what the objective said and went after the mage. Man was that stupid. I'll never follow directions again
