I was wondering if SE has said whether people who purchased a copy of 1.0 would get access to the preorder items? Since we are getting the game for free for purchasing the original game, it makes no sense for me to preorder 2.0.

No we are not. I'm torn as to whether I want to preorder just for those or not. I probably won't, my wife doesn't want to play so I don't really have a reason.

If I were you, I wouldn't bother. The only thing that interests me from the preorder is the Cait Sith minion. I'm not a big fan of FFVII, but Cait Sith is pretty awesome.

Even though I have a 1.0 CE I went ahead and pre-ordered. I know enough people that I can probably pawn it off on someone else, and worst case scenario, there isn't anything I really want to play now or in the next few months. So playing instead of watching during early access and a replacement for that god-awful onion helm make it worthwhile in my book.

Instead of making a new thread, I will add my question here. Where will my Pre-order in-game items go? I have my lvl 20 char stuck on legacy server(excalibur) from 1.0, but I want to start a new main character on a non-legacy server. Will I get them on the new character or will they be sent to my 1.0 character? or both?

Should be waiting for you in your in-game mail on the old and any new characters when you log in to them.
I hope so. Would kinda suck to be restricted to 1 character, or atleast not given a choice as to which character.

Pre-Order should be a separate code that you apply to the account, and all characters on that account should receive the pre-order item.
In 1.0 though only characters created AFTER applying the code would get the item. But that is only because there is no mailing system in 1.0 :/

Ok so I have a related follow-up question; Have they said whether or not owners of a 1.0 version of the game get to play during early access?
I really want these goodies, but I don't have the funds, and frankly I don't see the logic, to buy a copy of the game when I'm going to get it for free, lol.

1.0 CE get all in game CE items including ARR ones
1.0 standard don't get anything other than the game for free

I owned 1.0 CE and Legacy, so I won't pre-order just for moghat and caitsith. My mini-behemoth will pwn the caitsith.
For those interested in preorder though, I'm pretty sure you get 25% off code if you do that through Greenmangaming. Unfortunately that only works for Digital copies (Standard $30 and CE $50 before discount). Been seeing both versions going up on the top sales on GMG lately.

Hey everyone. Is there a way to confirm what sku of ffxiv 1.0 you have. I'm not sure if I have the CE or the SE.
Nonetheless, I want early access the mog cap, catsith and all the other stuff.
In order to get tht stuff I can't just buy another pc version right? I'd have to get the ps3 SE or CE depending on what version of 1.0 I have? Correct?

I actually bought a copy during the f2p period for about 10 or 15 usd at retail. I do have a map, a book, a DVD and a security token.
I thought pc bonus codes had been somehow incompatible with v1.0 accounts. Am I mistaken ?

They're compatible - the code entry just isn't live yet.
