That was our first beta weekend with a code for the ps3, so it was the first one we actually played...

Now that it's over, we can't help but look forward to playing again ASAP!

We're so happy we reserved 2 copies of the collector's edition on ps3! This game is unreal!

The only drawback was that time flew by so fast while playing and I would forgot to do other things like feeding/walking my dog... that could be dangerous if I don't figure out how to manage that, but I guess it was like that when I first started FFXI too.

Anyways,is there a way to tell when the next beta weekend will be?

The page that Wint made is down so I can't see when it will be on again. That was the only way I knew when it would be up.

Is there another way to tell?

Thanks!

I concur, and I have to treat it like you treat a kid and force myself away from the screen. I also drink a lot of water, so I have to take a bathroom break. I see my young nieces and nephews and how they can't control themselves, and that must be me too, so a firm hand, self control, and common sense brings me back to my surroundings.
Exhaustion helps too!

Good luck with your self control. I know I'll need it.

Someone will also post it here on Zam the second it's announced, so stick around Smiley: smile

This game feels really good on the PS3. Can't wait to play some more, will be very happy when the Duty Finder makes its way into the game. As a healer I just love instances.

Leveling seemed pretty fast. I wanted to try a little of everything I was interested in. So I got my CNJ to 19 then preceded to work on Mining and Goldsmithing got each of those to 14. Not bad in 2 days.

It was a good weekend overall. I struggled with screen issues, finding places, and targeting.

Mining was my hardest to learn. First the screen wasn't showing ANY points and then I had a brain fart and couldn't figure out that I had a CHOICE as to what to pickaxe. Once I got to choose, I was happy.

Mining supports weaving and alchemy because you can mine ingrediants (like dark matter, crystals omg you need so many).

I leveled Mining, Weaving and Alchemy.

Weaving - I made my clothes, how cute is that?
Alchemy - I made potions, antidoes and Ethers - how great is that!!

Leveled THM (and found it a little difficult to do the story line quests)
Leveled PUG (and found it difficult to target in FATE - the mobs died quicker than my targeting skills)

Yes, it was a good weekend.

Not completely lost now, (maps need more indicators for quests in the next screen :P )

Biggest mind blower for me was running into a FATE a few levels too high for me whilst exploring, found 3 guys about to wipe, whipped out the cure stick... sat there for the whole fight, threw maybe one Aero....

Gold medal?!?!? WHOOAH! Healing is recognized as Contributing!!!

I used to spend days in XI just running around picking up dead bodies ( you know, before someone trips and breaks their neck, creating more dead bodies). Being rewarded in-game for just doing the WHM thing is too cool now.

Now to see if I can make it to the actual WHM job before the wipe.

I have the 4th as a paid day off myself, plus I don't work Fridays. I was planning on taking my g/f downtown for the fireworks but she wanted to do some extra work for her aunt and make about $100 that day so my plans are bust >.<. I could have worked the 4th and either gotten 4 hours of holiday pay plus time and a half for what hours I did work or time and a half for the hours and a paid day off sometime in the next 90 days. >.< oh well.

There are bronze brass and iron bits in leather working and carpentry too. I'd honestly say if you want to be self sufficient you should be mining and chopping.
