If you had to choose one thing that excited you most about arr, what would it be?

I think I would have to say the Arcanist > Summoner - Scholar would have to be my choice. Mainly for SCH, since I am a healer at heart.

What about you?

I'm liking the gathering and crafting. Getting abilities as you level them is new to me.

This isn't cheesy at all! FF has a wonderful community compared to other games. There are always those few bad eggs anywhere you go, but for the most part the community here is friendly, and more than willing to help out and teach newcomers! Why it kills me the legacy members have this stigma of being arrogant, cocky elitests. I have meet several people during 1.0 that I would consider friends!

Good cooperative group play and a beautiful world to explore. Also I think I might try my hand at tanking. I've always gone caster of one variety or another, so I think its a good game to try something new on.

I do like the new dungeon style. HM is absolutely gorgeous!!! It is fun running dungeons. Not much communication, but me and ls mates I ran with were in vent last test, so this was no issue.

That's one thing I never got around to, that and getting my relic(s). Just started doing the Hamlets with LS, did the mini Garuda, but never the hard. I can't wait to try it out though!

I keep trying to get my fiancee to play with me. She loves games like fallout where she can do things other than fight. She hates fighting, so I tell her, come be my crafter/gatherer and decorate our house! But alas, she still says no =(

Duomaxwellxx : I was really excited to play it on my ps3, but I got rid of it when I built my rig. It was nothing more than a paperweight haha.

I couldn't get into it either, but I have a couple friends that were religious with that game.

keyword was REAL mmo.. I dont call 2 cities (gotham and metropolis) and a Hub area (watch tower if youre a hero and Doom if youre a villian) and 80% of the dungeons/raids you have to queue up for then are instantly transported too instead of being able to physically walk to them (well you could but even then you just walk to a teleporter that sin the HUIB which teleports you to said dungeon) I dont call those real mmo.

I wanna be able to walk and explore the mountains or wilderness and run into other exploring (or lost) players along teh way .. or have to walk to a dunegon and possibly avoid aggro (or fight my way through) all the way there etc etc.. give me the true open world experience which DCUO really doesnt offer

I love exploring! I think exploring the world of FFXI was 1/2 of the reason I loved it so much, that and the group based grind-leveling. Maybe I'm weird, but I enjoyed building a group, then finding a camp and beating up on some baddies!

I'm looking forward to the crafting system - I really enjoy crafting in MMOs, and having crafts as their own separate classes makes me excited for how much there'll be to do!

(That said, I'm also really, really looking forward to joining a Free Company and making some new friends. And exploring a brand new Final Fantasy world. There's just too many things to choose from!)

Exploring and making new friends. I did a Sastasha run last weekend with some very friendly high level players. I'm looking forward to more experiences like that. Also, I really like what they did with the crafting classes. Also, everything else lol

It is very nice to be able to try every craft and every job on one character, one thing I love about FF MMOs

The majority of 1.0 players are very nice and helpful. I hate how we(legacy) have the stigma of being jerks..

What server were you playing on phrozen?

This quest was the most fun I've had gaming in a long time, made a couple friends, and got my aetherial lance :D (for now)

There's a lot I'm excited about, but what I'm looking forward to the most is enjoying the FF series again and putting in some good game time. It's been a while since SE put out a game that excited me this much or as much fun to immerse myself in.

I've played lots of different MMO's. Some I've liked, some I've played briefly and deleted, but very few I actually love.

Maybe it's the draw of the nostalgia. Maybe it's the way SE delivers a story. Maybe it's the bonus of experiencing that story with my friends. I don't know! But whatever it is, it makes me love this game. It's hard to put my finger on it when so many things about this game make me giddy just by thinking about them.
