PS3 Network QuestionFollow

I'm having a small issue that I'm hoping someone might be able to answer...

If I go to YouTube on my ps3 browser and look up any video it doesnt matter which it will load the page and comments etc. However it will not download the video or play it... Does anyone know what could be the problem? It's not just YouTube either it won't DL any video but will load my page... Also got a small message warning when choosing my network connection and putting in WPA PW that the NAT type 2 could be a problem... Is this going to effect my Ffxiv experience and what if anything can I do to fix the problem?

I'm running wirelessly through suddenlink on a 30mps slim model ps3...

Thanks in advance for any and all advice on the issue at hand.

Edit... Provider has been contacted and was of no help at all...

I'm just guessing, but it could be a problem with the Flash player. I've heard PS3's browser had some problems recently, but I don't know for sure. I'll give it a try and report back.

If that doesn't work, there's a YouTube app for the PS3. Or there was one...I tried it a few months back and it was really laggy. If they've made any improvements on it, you may want to look into that as well.

Ok, I just tested Youtube on the PS3 browser. Did it keep prompting you to accept the plug-in for it? Because that's the only way the video would play for me. The first time I tried this, I got the flash player error, but it worked after that. Use refresh if need to.

A NAT 2 configuration means you're using a router. Nat 1 would mean you're hooking it up directly to the modem and Nat3 means you're in trouble and you can't host LAN(local area network) multiplayer. In computer networking, Network Address Translation (NAT) is the process of modifying IP address information in IPv4 headers while in transit across a traffic routing device.

As for your case, I suggest troubleshooting both the router and the PS3 WiFi connection. It's possible you have some type of firewall up that's causing an error on the router side. Can you log in your PSN account? If so, that's a good sign. I just tested my internet connection and everything checked out. If you're able to do that without an error under "Internet Connect test", that's a good sign. If you have problems, it could be a host of things including a router that is going bad. It's also possible the IP address needs to be refreshed which can do by recycling the router/modem. If you're able to run the internet test, you should be ok though.
