About the FF14 release date? :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

I'm new to this particular board so forgive me if its been said already. I'm hearing FF14 is coming out late August, and servers go live in September-ish. So far I've only seen specs for the PC and PS3. Any word if it'll come out on the PS4? If so would it be better to just wait for the PS4 release or jump on the PS3 band wagon only to rebuy it again laiter for the PS4?

Official service starts august 27th, with early access little earlier if you preorder. As for ps4 it will be coming out in 2014. Want to say 1st or 2nd quarter but not certain.

Yoshi has said they're working on making the transition for PS3 players to PS4 a smooth one. I'd recommend purchasing the PS3 version for now. In case you want a source, the end of this video has the first legit announcement that FFXIV will release for the PS4. Also, servers go live on the release date and early access. Not sure why it'd be September.
