I'm curious to see how many times people have played the benchmark in anticipation to be able to play, and what their favorite part was.
I'm so beyond excited to play, that I've watched the benchmark/trailer video 6 times now since last week.
It's great to be able to see the character I created use some abilities in the FF world again.
I think my favorite part was watching the characters ride the chocobos as it brought me back to FFXI where I spent soooo much time riding chocobos, especially the ride from teleport-mea to sky.
Just curious, is there any way to see your character in anything aside from paladin armor in the benchmark, or is that the only option?
I hope everyone is enjoying the anticipation for open beta that is a week away. :)

If you bring up a character you'v created, on the create character screen, you can change the armor to Level 20, 30, AF, etc... Even though it's limited, it still gives you a chance to see your character in different armor when you run the trailer. I've had alot of fun with the creation screen. I've never played a Lalafell before, but I was able to create one so darn cute, I'm tempted to play her as my main. 
Lala's are indeed adorable. I've decided on a Dunesfolk Lala myself for launch. I find them great to play because you can be goofy and everyone just thinks it's cute. Now I just need to decide on a main class, which I guess is less important since I can just play them all.

I've done the same thing, watched it several times, and I too enjoyed watching the chocobo racing... I'm so hyped and excited to play this. I know I'm not alone in this and can say I've been counting down the days until we can actually play LOL! I've been playing around with character creation everyday... yes I have been bored with too much time on my hands! Aside from reading the ZAM forums... I've also made some pretty cute characters. Miqo'te, Hyur, even Elezen. It's hard to decide between Miqo'te and Hyur but I'll likely go with Miqo'te, Seeker of the Sun. You can actually view some screenies I took of my characters on my facebook group page, the link is in my signature =)

I must've watched it 20 times, though mostly I was testing setups. I did like being able to see different characters I made so I can pick a favorite build easier.
My fav was the 2nd scene in the black shroud, where the cactuar is running alongside the chocobo-mounted group. It looks freaking hilarious!
That is, until someone pointed out the absolutely giant-a$$ tortoise in the background of that same shot. Now I can never stay focused on the cactuar!
