since servers in this game have queues i.e sometimes youll have to "wait in line" before you can get in game or cant log into teh server period because its full... does that mean when you create a character you can choose what server it launches on evertime you star it up? (as opposed to being restricted to one server like in FFXI)?
If you cant bounce between servers then soo on days where the server is full you just wont be able to play? that kinda sucks if thats the case

When creating a character, you'll choose which server to make it on and from then on, you'll always have to log into that specific server to use that character. You can always try creating that same character on different servers, but the progress of one will be independant of the other. You really should not have issues logging in unless it's right after launch, or server start up after big patches or updates. Other than those special occasions, you wont find this to be an issue.
lets hope not because standing in 30 second to 5 minutes queues to get in game was standard (even now) in DCUO and im sure that has way less ppl on one server than FFXIV will
