Yup, I gave up trying to log in awhile ago and have been playing my games from this week's Humble Bundle (Amnesia is messed up, but I digress), while fleeing in Amnesia and the occasional times I checked the beta forums to how high the 3102 complaint total has gone up (it's 17292 right now, in case you were wondering), I had this thought. Maybe they're trying to determine how much people like this game by putting in game-breaking bugs and seeing how well we handle it. Like, if we said nothing they would just patch it and move on. Maybe the "Stress Test" isn't for the servers, but for us.

Nope since this "beta" was for people to try and maybe buy the game. You know, those who were on the fence. I don't think they wanted to disturb that with critical errors.
No offense, but your theory is ridiculous. Why in the hell would you want tens of thousands of people and their friends, family or loved ones to have a bad taste in their mouth about your product?

Based on the abuse alot of us endured in FFXI, your theory would seem valid lol. But no, they wouldn't do that at this critical stage.
More likely its whoever they contracted for the NA servers (since it seems to mostly be NA having trouble) being in over their head. I can hear the yelling from Japan all the way over here!
