My girlfriend was playing on the ps3 and all sound dropped out twice in the game after several hours of play. She would log out and drop to the dashboard and the sound would come back. Anyone else experiencing this issue on the ps3?

It happened to me once. I had to close the game as well. I don`t know how it happened for you but in my case it was shortly after I adjusted the volume via the in-game settings. Going back there and changing it back didn't help, I had to close the game and restart it.

It's happened to me on PC. There's quite a few audio bugs that need to get fixed. Sometimes it cuts out entirely or just some sounds will work and others won't.

I had my audio cut out once during Phase 3 and once now during phase 4 on my PS3.

Ok so defiantly a game bug. I was worried it was our ps3 but I figured it was not because it came back once out of the game.

I have not had it happen on the pc.

I wonder if it was brought up on the beta forums.

I had it happen to me after my PS3 was on for about 8 hours straight. I was in the middle of a dungeon, and my sound went all crazy. A few seconds later, all I was getting was random muted sound effects.

Happened to me a couple of times.

Oh during cut scenes I changed the language to JPN voices. Made them SO much better.

You can replay the cutscenes at the Inn. There is a personal journal on a desk when you are in your room.

Im on PS3 and I also experienced this sound problem. As a special treat the last time it happened was just as I entered Ul'dah via the airship during the main storyline quest. The sound cut out, the game froze for about 10s, then my PS3 froze up. I did a hard restart, and was able to get back into the game just fine, but now my 3month old PS3 controller is fried.

The controller stayed on throughout the entire hard reset, and continued to stay on for 20min(which is how long I have the auto-off feature set for). I switched controllers and tried to turn the broken one back on. No dice. Its not the end of the world, but it is odd. It doesn't respond or charge even when plugged in.

All in all, I enjoyed P4. I ran into the 9000 error, but managed to avoid the 3102 error. I also never had the sound cut off after the initial time.

Im with you Grandmomma in regards to the NA voices. Once Early-Access hits, its going to be JP all the way. It sounds like they're reading their lines off a cue card. I was hoping to keep it NA for the ambient dialogue that they dont have chat bubbles for. Oh well.

Happened to me on PC once. First some sounds would cut in and out, no battle music, then no battle music and no sound fx, then sound fx but no ambient, then it would all cut out. Just logged out and back in and it was fine.

You speak Japanese? I assume you do otherwise you really can't say that. I've watched those Hitler spoof videos for years now. I actually speak German and while some people think that's funny to listen to Hitler lose his mind and read the funny subtitles, the truth is most people don't have a clue what he's really saying. I'm going to assume that's the case here.
