Wondering about Arcanist jobs. :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

Hello, first time posting here.
I was wondering about this as I've been wanting to play Summoner but the way my friends have their classes I'm kinda being forced into healing. Because of that I was thinking of trying Scholar but I'm worried that if I do get Scholar at lv30 then I won't be able to get Summoner later on. I know that you can have both a WHM and a SMN but I'm wondering with the way when you equip a certain weapon and your class changes if that will work the same with SMN and SCH.

You can get both jobs, and they'll level concurrently with the class. In order to change jobs, you simply have to change your job stone.

Oh that's good. I was really getting worried with that lol. Guess I'll go SCH then to start off with as I hate having a long Q time with the Duty Finder.

You're still going to have a long time until 30 because as Arcanist you can only queue as dps. But once you hit 30 and do the job quest to unlock SCH then you'll be good to go.
