ZAM is the name of the network. ZAM is the name of the forum. ZAM is the identity of the community as a whole.
Who in their right mind would think using something else would even be remotely smart?

I would, as would many others. The FC will not be only zam members. I have many friends who don't actively post on zam who will be joining as I'm sure others do as well. On top of that, the name zam is rather dull for an FC. It's great for the website, but in-game it's pretty boring and lackluster imo. Personally, I think Kraken Club is a far superior name. In fact, I'm going to be rather bummed if we end up having to choose ZAM. It's not going to stop me from being a part of the FC,but I would much prefer a name that is more game-related than forum related. Karma Zameleons was at least a fun combo of something to do with zam as well as a humorous pun. ZAM is just not a great fit, but that's just my opinion.

It's a shame we can't have absentee ballots. With all the nonZAM members from Karma Zameleons, I think the Kraken Club would win in a landslide.
I've been trying to convince my friends who are joining to make zam accounts and vote, but so far I don't think any of them have. I agree though, if we actually included all the people from Zameleons who aren't zam members, I can almost guarantee Kraken Club would win.

ZAM and Kraken Club are virtually tied, in two different polls they are close to each other with one in front of the other. How about we name the FC "The Kraken Club" and use the FC identifier (the few characters that show up in your name) <ZAM>?
There's no good way to shorten The Kraken Club to the what, 4-5 characters we get? And then both are used. Thoughts?

But for what my opinion is worth that sounds like a good idea if they're both popular.
That's not a bad idea really.. The Kraken Club is a much better name, has a Final Fantasy MMO cache, and feeds ALL the TP; and the ZAM tag maintains the branding and identifies the community.
