Hi I'm not very familiar with the FF world at all but randomly rolled a toon on the same server that the Zam guild is on and was hoping to join up. I've looked but can't find a guild tool that allows you to search through recruiting guilds like EQ2 has so am not sure how to apply in game. Would someone mind explaining to this newbie how to join the guild (assuming you are accepting newbies) 8-)

Theres no Free Company(Guild) yet, as we need someone to get to level 25. However there is a Linkshell( Like our own seperate chat channel) That you could join.

#1 - We don't generally use the word "toon" for the FF MMO games. Our avatars are "characters" or just "chars" for short. They don't look very cartoon-like, and some folks in the community get a little miffed about it. Just a head's up.
#2 - Once the servers pop back up, someone in the free company can invite you. (I'm not sure they even got the FC set up just yet.) There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and you can add your name to be invited there. I'm still waiting as well.

Sorry, I'm not quite familiar with the FF terminology yet 8-)
My characters name is Wrath Stormbringer. I was able to hit level 17 this morning before they took the servers down. I'm a Marauder...I chose that because I heard there was a shortage.

No offense intended. I've been playing MMO's since 'The Realm' so you can see where I get the word 'toon' from. However, from now on I'll be a 'Character' 8-)

Like he said post you're name in the Sticky.

Oh man, I remember The Realm! I remember all of those pioneering virtual worlds. I was a GM (acolyte) for Dreamscape back then. I also hung out in Cybertown and Worlds Chat 3D.
ah so the linkshell isn't full then? left my name there yesterday so hopefully when the servers are back up someone can send me an invite too :D
When they are back up if you send a tell to Bartel Hayward he can invite you to the LS as can I (Arylin Moonsong) but I can't remember who else can invite.

I stopped playing that when UO came out and loved that except I was always getting my butt kicked in PVP...but it was still fun. After that EQ came along and I spent many years as a halfling druid. I loved playing that class because I could help so many folks out (ports, Sow, healing and buffs). Nothing has been quite as good as back then for me, but after getting an invite to FF14 Beta 3 it rekindled those feelings so I went off and did my pre-order.
If someone doesn't mind can I get an invite to the ls after maintenance... Thank you very much in advance...
