service account help :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

I know there was a link about this somewhere but cant find it... anyway when I have to choose a service account it only shows beta and pre order.. of course ill choose pre order to get the items however if i choose that then at what point would I put in the registration code that came with the actual physical copy of the game? if i have to choose a new service account to add that then what happens to my preorder stuff?

If you register your code as a new service account instead of the pre-order account your items still get sent to the old account and you get nothing on the new one except the 30 day trial.
