I just wish the airship ride was actually real-time but not just a cutscene.

Was looking forward for the aerial view of the major cities...

If it was skippable, like the cutscene, that'd be cool.

But forced real time would just be another blatant time-sink travel and the game's already chock full of those.

In a world with airships, teleportation, etc. why do I have to constantly run back and forth to deliver messages/speak with someone?

That, plus not being able to quick click through the mountains of text... ugh...

Ironic, because I was thinking to myself how easy it was to get around quickly in this game as I was playing today.

Nope.. playing since UO and Everquest beta days.

I'd put up with tedious travel in game like those but they had great combat mechanics, etc.

Today's MMOs don't..

You just sound so inconvenienced by this game. You should log out and do something else. That way someone interested can play.

Opinions are just that I suppose. I think traveling is quick and painless. Combat so far is some of the best I've experienced in any recent MMO's.

No, the game just has some very odd and tedious aspects to it.

It also has some great qualities.

Still in the process to see which one outweighs the other.

My purchase of the game entitles me to play it how I choose (or don't if that's the case).

Now, if you want to refund my purchase via Paypal I'll uninstall and and make room for someone else...

You are a low lvl grunt until you can prove yourself to the powers that be. Until then, you are a messanger. Smiley: smile

Well, to a point. You're entitled to play this game how it's designed to be played.

They obviously knew the western market wouldn't want to suffer through every NPC interaction or they wouldn't have made it relatively skip-able.

The text and stories are what make the game so great. An incredible amount of detail has went into the story, the background of the characters, the history of events, the little intricacies of the world itself....that my friend is what sets this game apart from Western MMO's. For me it's all in the details. Being so immered in the stories and history of each job and gathering class really gives me a true appreciation of that class and make me feel that they are all special in their own way. I actually want to spend time as each class just to learn more about them, not just to rush through trash mobs to get that latest leet gear from the newest raid. That is a child's thinking. This game is a piece of art. Slow down and appreciate it.
