Could anyone that has Carpentry to level 15 share how exactly Rumination works? At what rate are the number of control increases granted by Inner Focus converted into CP when you use the skill?

The skills description is a bit lacking in the specifics and since I have no immediate need for leveling carpentry otherwise I don't really want to rush and invest the effort to find out whether the skill is underwhelming or not.

Sounds like a good research project. Why don't you log in and find out the rate of growth for cp gain then post it here and I am sure you will get lots if rate ups for the information that you went out of your way to get.

If no one has found out I can check it out later when I get home. I don't know how much cp is granted but I know if you get at least 2 successes then you get more cp back than used.

I don't know if it's affected by control, level and or craftsmanship but I did some minor testing while crafting a couple of logs and found that with one sucessful basic touch I got 15 cp back, with 2 I got 24, 3 32 and 4 39. It didn't seem to be affected by things like material quality and condition.

The most i've seen returned is around 60 CP when I was on my last tic of Innovation (GSM ability that increases control dramatically for three turns). I wouldn't say it's something I ever use unless it's an emergency situation and I just need the CP to finish that last quality bump or missing a few cp to restore durability. It's handy when you need, but I prefer Byregot's as my go to toggle removal of Inner Quiet. No CP there but a big boost in quality most of the time.

At ~20-25 I get back 24, 32, 39, 45 (after 1-4 successful synths) I find it extremely useful, since I'm using Inner Quiet anyway and it's free CP
