Aggressive mobs have a three point red triangle around the icon next to their name.

I think you mean if the mobs that aggro in ffxi to ffxiv were the same .... I would say no but it also depends on where you are and lvl I know bombs in lower lvl area around copperbell mines dont aggro asto ffxi from what I remembered from ffxi bombs were always aggro if the lvls were close or you were lower and I have not come across anything that was aggro by magic or anything in that aspect

I would also add. There are two types of agro: Sound and Sight just like 11.

Sight = just avoid the front of the mob.

Sound = walk ("/" on your keypad) by them. Make sure not to bump into them though.

oi. 1st one was about Sight/Sound. I've figured out the red triangle with yellow (triangles stacked?) thin icon means they will aggro. Was wondering if there was something I was missing about Sight/Sound.

Pretty much any 'ground hugger' type mob seems to aggro sound, and 'walker' types are sight. Granted there are exceptions, but stuff like toads, shrooms are usually sound and humanoid, beastmen, ogres are typically sight. Other than that, i've yet to see any indicators outside of the red triangle that would give us clues as to aggro type, sorry.

I'm so lost on how to obtain Chocobo or even how to use a mount.
Am I suppose to just keep with the main Story Quest line to unlock this? I'm pushing lv23... I'm getting tired of just running when I see so many on mounts.
If not main story, where do I go?
I started in Limsa.
Thanks :X

You will be able to unlock your chocobo after you join a Grand Company in the story. You could have unlocked it at 20. It comes after the Ifrit fight.

Ah, ok. I'm not that far into the story then. Just getting tired of running/warping back and forth :3
