WTF? Am I screwed?Follow

Opened the launcher this morning and now it's at the registration screen. I have been playing since EA with level 20 character and no issues. What happened? It's asking to create a square Enid account or enter product code now instead of starting game???

Did you register your purchased codes and everything, our are you still using the EA codes?
Because EA codes had a expiration date on them that's all I can think of what happened.

More information might help. Are you updating from a previous older version? If so you'll need the new launcher as they've completely revamped everything. You can access it on the FFXIV website, run it and it will automatically download and install FFXIV. You can use your existing Square-Enix account to run it, as I did.

Of course, getting into the actual game might prove troublesome with all of the 1017 errors people have been getting lately, but that's a different matter entirely.

I know for the ps3 the regular codes are in the box itself.

Same thread on the official forums, couple answers in there. If you ordered a box and haven't received it yet, have to wait. If it's digital, someone is suggesting checking junk mail and regular mail for a code.

Look in your e-mail for an e-mail from 'webhelp.v4​@digitalriv​er.com' that subjects Square-Enix, Inc. - Product Now Available (Order #XXXXXXXXXXX)‏

And then I think there's people with two seperate accounts...

I did not get an email after registering early access checked all folders. Is there a way to have it re-sent . Looking at my order on amazon and do not see any way to have sent

Early admission only lasted until the 29th. You'd need to purchase the game, and enter the code that came with it, into your account.

You got early access for pre-order. Where is the game you ordered...? It has the registration code you need to actually keep your account active. Early access ended at 11:59 PM yesterday. Time to register.

No, you have to read the thread. Did you order a physical copy of the game? If so, you have to wait until it arrives. If it was digital, you will need to go to your mogstation and check to see what your account status says. You might need to either contact amazon or SE to get it figured out if all else fails. You didn't just waste 50 dollars, don't worry.

No.

The Early Access code was separate from the actual product registration code. You should have received both in email.

From what I understand, if you ordered a hard copy from Amazon, you'll have to wait until you receive the game. You should have a code inside the game case. That's the code you'll need to enter on the Mog Station to register it to your account.

Ok so after much raging let me help others who Ordered from Amazon Digital

1. Log into Amazon
2. Go to recent orders
3. Select your FFXIV Order
4. You have to hit the link for the download
5. To the left with be a box that says product key
6. Click that and there you go
7. When you enter code on the launcher DO NOT SELECT NEW SERVICE just click next (Unless you are starting from scratch of course)

Mine is from GameStop. They told me they'd call me when it came in, of course I knew I was supposed to go get it and didn't. As long as my character is still there I'll be happy. If not ...

This is getting worse.

Picked up two copies this morning (PC and PS3), one for my account, one for wifes account. Tried to log in with my normal account using the launcher (PS3)....after several "server not responding" messages, it says I have no FFXIV game registered with the account and need to either download or register a new code. However, it doesn't give me any option to plug the numbers in. So I have to log in on the website (provided on the card). Updated my games with the code, so now my account has two active (the old one is the EA). Log in on the PS3 and get the same message, like there's no game registered with my account.

Tried the PC. Logged into my wifes account, updated her profile with the new serial code. Now she has two games, EA and the copy we just bought. Tried to log her in on the launcher and it wants me to plug in a new registration code that doesn't even match the format of the one in the box.....brick wall.

Good thing I have four days off to figure this out.

It might take all 4 days. My first suggestion, call or open a chat with SE immediately.

You didn't 'update' the pre-order, you created a new service account. This will require SE to fix.

It was all me this time. Was using the wrong code (on the card)....instead of the one on the booklet.

If you ordred a digital copy from Amazon, you can find your 2nd product code if you do the following.
1.Go to amazon and log in
2. Open the "Your Account" options, toward the upper right
3. Scroll down to "Digital Content" portion of the page, 4th category down
4. Click on "Your Games and Software Library"
5. Under Final Fantasy ARR, there will be a yellow button that says 'product code', open it.
6. Input that into your Mog Station

Easy Peasy. Hope that helps.

Got mine going, like probably everyone else who isn't posting but instead playing. But I'm 86th in queue so...

Same type of update as with Beta 3 to Beta 4. Existing Service Account is highlighted, click "Next", not "Create Service Account". Code on the back of instruction booklet.

Oh I'm sorry, there ISN'T an instruction booklet!

Call me old man withers if you want but I want a book with all the commands in it and some cool colorful artwork. Yes the hanging cloth poster is cool but not an adequate substitute.

Gripe being said, this game rules.
