I've been playing on PS3 since phase 3. I was in early access. Haven't had any problems. I preordered from Gamestop and have a physical copy of the game. Early access is over. So I need to input my registration code. I went to member.square-enix.com/na and input the registration code(XXXXXX-000-XXXXXX-000). It shows the product registered to my account. The Mogstation says my account is inactive, and when I try to log into the game, it says there is no valid service account to play FFXIV. The only thing I can figure is that I waited too long to register my product code and now I'll have to create a new account and start over. Does anybody have any advice? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Did you register the code on the back cover of the game manual through PSN?

I have only read about problems when PS3 users register through the SE site as opposed to PSN. You may have to call SE. I'm going to register through PSN unless the PSN tells me specifically, "get your big behind up and walk over to the computer and log in to the SE site". If I recall, I registered the early access through the PSN.

The game manual should have a redemption code. Go your ps3 account management and enter the redemption code and you should be fine.

The redemption code isn't in the format to enter into account management. The 12 digit code is for account management, the 18 digit code is for registration. He likely already entered the 12 digit code into account management. The problem is that he took the 18 digit code and tried to register through the internet on the SE site where all the PC players register. It could have registered his game to an incorrect account or something similar. I'm sure his charater data is still there, but he is locked out. I have heard of so many problems when people bypass the PSN.

There are two codes with ps3 copy. One for SE and one for psn. Thed PSN is found behind the game manual and the SE is a flash card.

Ok now I'm scared to log in later. I preordered through psn....do I need a code? cause I didn't get one. :0

Good luck.

The registration process is so convoluted and error prone that it's mind boggling.

I've never seen anything like this before - it's almost like they intentionally made it as messed up as possible.

I'm guessing you FF fans are really hardcore; SE must think they can ***** their customers over without consequences.

If this was a NA/US based MMO it would be out of business.

For me, I have my payment dispute already logged. Let's see who responds first: The bank or SE..

I attempted to. It said the code was no longer valid. I've heard some NA players got EU early access codes. Maybe that happened to me and now I'm locked out because I have an NA copy of the game.

I personally have already entered my 12 digit code into account management, but have not yet enetered my 18 digit code. I am waiting for the PSN to tell me to when I log in after early access ends. He likely already entered the 12 digit code into account management. I would WAIT.

My code was applied to a blank "maintenance account" that I had no idea even existing.

Now all my existing characters are locked out on a different "maintenance account".

Give them a week or 2 to figure out this abortion of a system they have crated.

This is not complex mathematics. The small hieroglyphs beneath both codes of the hard copy have been discovered to be written in the lost language of English. Run the playstation code through your playstation and the SE code through SE.
Now you may need to make an SE account. This might require the arduous task of registering an email but I promise even this vile act of personal privacy should only take 5-10 minutes tops.

I am having a similar problem and am becoming increasingly annoyed by the lack of use SE are (although I do understand they obviously have a lot to deal with at the minute).

I received my ps3 copy of the game 3 days EARLY so went to register it to see what would happen. It of course didnt work so when the day came around to register early access I had to download the game AGAIN through PSN. With this done I began playing. When the official server was launched, rather than connecting my early access character and service account it created a new one and wouldnt not let me play with the character I had already made.

My early access account has now been cancelled and my character and data along with it! I contacet SE about all of this 2 days ago and they have failed to reply, I have now seen that they have closed all tickets that have been opened for 48 hours so am not expecting a reply! And to top it off, the EU support centre is only open Monday - Friday 9 - 6 (completely stupid considering it is a 24/7 online gaming company).

Does anyone know of a way to fix this or a way to get in touch with SE out of normal office hours??

Your smug asshatness aside, you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Like many other people I never recived a simple email with a code.

Obtaining that email has been torturous in itself.

Then, after finally getting it and following the SE process to the letter I end up with a "registered" "maintenance account" (blank) and a locked "maintenance account" (where my characters are).

Are no point or anywhere in my account profile was there anything mentioned about "maintenance accounts" or which one you want the code applied to.

I only discovered this AFTER completing the registration process as instructed and trying to log on, where i was instructed to got to yet ANOTHER SE site (something with "mog" in it) that has these mystical maintenance accounts listed.

This has to be the most cobbled together/jerry-rigged system I've ever seen in 25+ years of IT experience.

You FF fanbois must be incredibly hardcore; there's no lore/IP that I would put up with this kind of crap for.

it's one and done for me with SE.

~laughs~ I am not so internet butch that I cannot apologize. Sorry for the trouble you faced. Perhaps the upcoming maintenance will alleviate your issues if you choose to try again in the near future.
