new login issue: error 10102 :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

Hey guys so normally it takes me a decent amount of tries to login because ill get error 1017 alot which is where after u hit login on your character it says the worlds are too full try again later. Normally after enough tries it will let you on but today i have a different problem. I hit log in, it goes to the loading screen for a good minute or two making it appear that Im getting in and then I get error 10102 connection to server has been lost. then when i go back to hit start and try again it says it cant load the NA/EU servers, I checked teh server status and it says they are all up so does anyone else have any idea whats going on or how to solve it? I hope i can get on soon its my day off i wanna do some serious lvling!

I'm having the same issue. I wouldn't count on being able to play much today.

have you had any kind of luck making it into teh game today? i have been trying for over an hour and havent made it in once not even made it in and then kicked off? I am on excalibur and according to server status it is up. what I dont understand is why today it is a different issue then what it has been every other day. I expect to have to keep trying to get on but since this error is different I dont know if im just wasting my time or if it will eventually let me in

I have not been able to login. I'm also on Excalibur. I expect it will only get harder to login as it gets later (especially since it's a Saturday).

If you are getting 10102, it means that your character is still logged in. To fix it, you can try logging in with a different character on a different world. I used a JP server to login and then out, then I exited the client and entered again. I got 10102 at first, but then started getting 1017.

Of course now the lobby servers are crashing, so I can't get any futher than that. But this might help you get out of the 10102 loop.

onyx i could see this making sense that would explain why even tho i have tried 50 times i still cant get in, unfortunetly like you said now the ******* servers are even more ****** up and the start button is grayed out. I love square and this game but my patience is starting to wear thin. having to try multiple times to login every single time i want to play is one thing but now all this other bull ****.... come on square you have had since the 24th to do something about this...

onyx ya im almost positive ur idea fixed the prob cause i just made a char on jp server cause they popped back up and ahd no trouble at all gettign in so once the na servers show back up for me im pretty positive ill be good thanks for ur advice, just wish it came allitle sooner before teh lobby disconnects started <.<

yep back to just getting 1017 over and over but its even worse since now its 4 o clock central on saturday.... really wish i woulda known all i had to do was get on a diff char first before when i was having no problem with 1017 in teh afetrnoon. by the time i get on im not even gonna wanna play anymore. sorry that this thread has just turned into me ******** none stop its the only avenue for release i currently have

Yea I got that error earlier and then got in after a bit.. I got booted and the same dawn error now and this time no go been trying for two hours....
