Question on allocating attribute points.Follow

Hey guys hope you can help me out here. So on my Lancer I'm finally able to allocate some extra stats. What I'm wondering is because my Lancer is a melee type class, if I throw some points into let's say his Strength, will that hinder me down the road if I end up being a Conjurer? Or when I level up Conjurer will he get the same points to throw into Conjurer type stats?

Hope that made sense!

All classes have their own set of points to allocate. Strength it up!

The only caveat is for Arcanist, since it can be either Scholar or Summoner you kind of have to decided between Mind and Int.. all other classes you can allocate worry free.

I've been hesitant as well for several reasons. For one, what if they add more jobs later on? What if the add Ranger as a Job for Archer. Surely Ranger and Bard would want two diff stats...?

Also, wihtout knowing the dynamics and flow of the game at high levels I don't know how things like Mind compare to Max MP when it comes to healers. In FFXI max MP was very useful for awhile and more valuable than Mind gear for a WHM. Then the dynamics of the game shifted and MP regeneration made Max MP lass of an issue - so the shift was maybe back to MND.

Or what if I want to solo Conj some. Is it better to have some extra INT on to strengthen my nukes? Or will not having max MND gimp me on WHM in parties?

I have heard tale of possibly being able to re-stat, but that it is not an easy thing to do. Does anyone know more about this?

There is a re-spec potion or w/e from your grand company.

Don't stress too much about these stat allocations since you can respect at your GC.

1) Every class has its own stat block so stats allocated as a LNC don't affect CNJ.
2) Every class has a pretty obvious stat to increase:
GLD (VIT), MRD (VIT), LNC (STR), PGL(STR), ARCher (DEX), CON (MND), THM (INT), ARCanist (INT/MND)
3) If you want to respec for special reasons the option is there (if at a cost).

Any idea how much work it takes to get one of those potions?

As a Conjurer/White Mage you have the ability Cleric Stance, a toggle ability that switches your INT and MND values. You want to stack MND!

When you activate Cleric Stance, it will make your INT that much higher for nuking.

BEWARE: Do not allocate your points while Cleric Stance is active! If you allocate points in MND while Stance is active they will transfer to INT permanently when you turn the stance off.

10,000 seals, so not something you want to be doing on the fly every day, but not exactly hard to do if you mess up, or decide to switch mains from SMN to SCH for example.

Yes. Pump every point you can into STR for lancer/dragoon/pugilist/monk.

You are melee dps and will want to excel in that.

When you swap into another soul or class you will be able to use points gained by leveling up that class.
