So what's up with this spell? how come when i use it, is not as it is in other ff games? if i am far from enemy, it does not reach them, It only hits nearby enemies? Am i suppose to get close to enemies when doing dungeons? o.O? Also, whats the best combination to use with Transpose? Fire 1---->> Fire 2---->> Fire 3---->> TRANSPOSE- Blizzard 1-->>blizzard 2-->>> Blizzard 3? Rinse and repeat over and over? thunder is not affected with this ability?

Many thanks :)

Blizzard 2 is an AOE spell that has your self as the center of the area therefore it only hits enemies around you.

Do not use Blizzard 2 or Fire 2 freely in a dungeon. They are both AOE spells so you hit a lot of enemies and may take aggro from tank.

As for solo fights. Use bliz and fire 2 whenever you want but keep in mind that they will hit 2 or 3 enemies at once...if you can take them on do it if you can't use your blizzard and fire 1 spells.

I am at level 30 (well 30k from 30 actually) so I don't have blizzard or fire 3 yet. My usual rotation as of now is thunder-fire-fire-fire till low on mp then use transpose to switch the buff and hit with blizzard 1 till I am full on mp then I use transopse again.

I also do sleep if there are more than 1 mob we are attacking so that I can help the tank and healer.

See thread titled THM on these boards for detailed discussion of the best rotations for THM including scathe, and the use of AOE in dungeons.

Blizz 2 is an AoE spell centered on yourself. It's great for early levels and perfect for FATE grinding when it's often hard to get off targeted casts.

However, perhaps its most useful property is its added effect: bind. Pre-freeze (if you stay THM, you won't have freeze), this is one of the only ways to bind an enemy in place which can be useful for pealing things off your healer or, if you obtain aggro from a monster, run up to your tank and cast it so it binds the monster near him. Swiftcast and blizz 2 work wonders in emergencies.

Sadly, most players do not realize what bind does. If you are near the binded target, it will attack you. Make sure to inform your party. :)

I have tried to use Blizzard II on occasions where the tank has lost hate and the mob is making a beeline for me (or, more importantly) the healer. A quick shot of Blizzard II can bind for just a quick second to give the tank time to get a 'voke off.

Otherwise, it seems to be primarily a fate skill. Perhaps SE realised the difficulty THM were going to have in fates as by the time we have casted a spell, the targeted mob is often dead - not the case obviously for single target fates but certainly for multi-mob fates.

Yeah I believe that is the case. Or they thought that we'd be better off AoEing in the early levels...which was a correct assumption. No CC really needed pre-35.

It's useful for Garuda, though. Outside of that, though, I'm not sure! It has a faster cast time than freeze but has a shorter duration on the bind.
