Okay, does anyone know the name of the skill (I think it might be CNJ, but not entirely sure) that sends the enemy flying across the room/field/space/wherever? Now, with that established, does anyone feel it is being used just for the sake of it and not for what it was intended for? Almost every single dungeon group, I'll be tanking a mob and it will go flying across the floor. Why? Is there some utility to it that I'm not aware of? When I first seen it, I thought it was a way for the healer to put some distance between himself and an attacking mob, but if I have the mob, already miles away from the caster/healer, why use that and make me chase it down? I'm not complaining, just simply asking if there is something I'm not aware of. Thanks.

I sometimes use it in dungeons where I know a mob will be spawning and/or running to. Makes it easier for tank to Flash on the pop instead of risk having a mob inadvertently aggro one of the back-row casters.

It might be a heavy-handed approach, but in PUGs, you do what you can to minimize risk.

Yes, that's using it effectively, and not just simply for the fact of using it. If I've got a mob locked down, 10 yalms (sorry, made up number as I don't know the measurement of a yalm :P) from the back row, the risk, at that point, is virtually 0%, especially if it's only one mob, because at that point, I have him virtually grafted to me and could autoattack the rest of the battle without fear of losing him.

I've had some use it to separate a mob from me, then sleep it in the background, so someone doesn't AoE it awake. That, in my eyes, is good utility, and not what I mentioned earlier. I think too many use it simply for the fact that 'Hey, it's a skill, watch this mob go flying' and while I deal with it without fuss, it is annoying to me in my own space. Just saying. Don't hate me for it, please. :)

I have let my finger slip once and use the skill when I meant to cast thunder. Beyond that though, I only use the skill when a freshly spawned mob aggros me and the tank and dps have their hands full. If you are the healer, you really don't want to waste your time attacking too often anyway. So this skill really shouldn't be used that often.

The only reason I can see why some MIGHT try to use it is because it has a different global cooldown from the rest of their skills. So they can chain it right after a cure or aero if needed. Not the best reason to be doing this.

At least I think the cooldown was different. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please. I rarely use this skill and it is six in the morning. I am very sleepy.

Yeah, using it just for the sake of using it is kinda dumb. I liked it for the early-game tortoise battle for pushing the tortoise into the goal. I was in a party where everyone else thought that the objective was to kill the turtle. So, I literally had to take it on myself to win that battle because the party was, in fact, about to kill the damn thing lol

When I first got it I would use it in dungeons, then I realized that its super annoying for the dps and tank to have the mob suddenly get bounced back so I stopped. Plus, you do have to run into range because its only a short range attack. It is very useful solo and if you pull hate to push it off you, because it binds as well. But yea, I'd say use it solo or if a mob comes at you, but otherwise don't use it in parties.

Great assessment, Loris. I wouldn't go far as to say don't use it in groups, because it can have great utility when used creatively and effectively, like stated above. If you can't find someway to use it that is beneficial to the party and not detrimental, then yes, I agree that it is better off left out of the skill set until you disband from party. Really glad to hear I'm not alone on this, even from healers themselves. :)

This. In parties, I'll sparingly use it if an add comes and I can shoot the mob back to the tank(in good groups, not even this). Otherwise, there's really no good reason to use it in a party. Love it during solo stuff though, and can't wait to use it in pvp Smiley: sly
