Patch wont download :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

Just came from work, and started the client. My DL speed is as low as 0,05 MB/s, never had this problem before. Anyone else having same difficulties?

Did a speedtest of my internet and there was no problem on that part..

Every suggestion or even just a confirmation that someone else has this problem would be a relief.

Where are you downloading the client from exactly?
Amazon or something similar to them? or Square themselves?
If all else fails my good man, you could try:
http://gdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/inst/ffxivsetup.exe
That's the one i used a few weeks ago.

Sorry, didnt realize you meant the patch...

I guess you're not the only one currently downloading it, and it's 1gb in size. So i imagine if there's 200.000+ people trying to grab it, the speed gets divided a little between them.

I downloaded it before I started work but...
if you go onto the ffxiv forums the page lags out and doesn't load.

They are probably getting slammed hardcore style right now.

Im on the same boat as the TC, i've been trying to DL the patch for hours now... aside from slow download speed... it also randomly gives me server connection error...
Hope this gets fixed soon..
