Found the missing, uh, "ladies"Follow

#1 Sep 24 2013 at 6:54 PM Rating: Good
One of the complaints someone had between beta and full release was that the "young ladies of the world's oldest profession" who were hanging around the miner's guild were missing.

Well, I found them. They followed the miners seeking mythril up to the Golden Bazaar and now they're twitching their rear ends alluringly in the open air.

Lady one: Here all by your lonesome?
Lady two: I can fix that for you... for a price.

So no, not deleted. Just moved outside the city a bit. Smiley: lol

There are a pair of bathing female miqo'te that told me (paraphrasing), " are you shocked I swing that way?"

That got a pretty good giggle out of me.

Well, since you mentioned it...

Ended up taking that screenshot when I first started playing during Early Access. Didn't know there was any controversy surrounding them, but there ya go...

Best dialog is from Longshaft and the twins up at High Bridge or whatever.

Best alluring animation is from two miqo'te at Forgotten Springs, where it looks like one is teaching the other how to be sexy.

There is also a woman in Costa Del Sol that says something like "You want me to dance? First i would see the color of your coin, i have kids to feed." or something like that.

It's important to note that if you walk near the guy near those two, he takes about how he got an STD.

It's pretty great.

They're still not the Miqo'te in lacy underwear from 1.0 that sadly got replaced by boxes though. But the sentiment is appreciated, SE.

SE has been pulling these crude jokes ever since FFVII when Cloud had that gay experience in the massage parlor. It really creeped me out.

One of the guards up in the camp past Aleport (forgot the camp, the one in between the two tidegates) made a comment about why she left home and joined the military. Something about not wanting to open her legs for every passing sailor. Smiley: eek

Why does SE objectify women so much? They should really focus more on killing things.

If it were a Rockstar game, you'd kill the objectified women.

Smiley: boozing What's a pretty place like you doing in a lady like this?

This is the writers style of humor in a game that is clearly marked to have the "stuff". Smiley: sleeper

I can picture far more obscene places the writer doesn't go, that is found in media all over the place. I find this writer somewhat tasteful because he is beating around the bush to entertain versus being blunt. There are things I can say to slightly get the blood boiling or hearts racing a tad. And there are certain things that just shock the **** out of people for the sake of it.

... really? Objectify? This is going to turn into a sexism debate?

No mention of the subligar, the frost water bathers, the Ala Mhingo champions or the many different lewed men comments.

Heck, there are a pair of ladies that allure a poor unsuspecting Rody to an isolated area in Limsa and string him up for his money. I'd say there's a fair showing all around.

Just because sexuality exists, does not make it instant objectification. There are women in real life that act this way, you know.

I'm just grateful that 99% of the NPCs are rather modestly dressed. Exceptions include the belly dancers in Ul'Dah... and Yda... and Minfilia... (wtf is up with the hot pink sports bra?)

Eye candy. Even though there are a fair amount of female gamers these days, relatively speaking, they still throw in that eye candy for the male gamers.

Or the fact that you can see her underwear through the holes in the back of her skirt.

I suppose it helps her keep cool in sunny Thanalan.

Is older than that, there was a gentlemen's club in FF4.

Well not just sexism, but the game also objectifies cats. My female cat is doubly offended by all of this.

SE needs to fix it....right meow.

I suppose so, but it was so vague it wasn't much of anything. The gay massage FFVII scene was over the top and just inappropriate. It was the hot coffee of Final Fantasy.
