Something about TitanFollow

Not sure if this is well known or useful in the HM fight, but my LS and I discovered this while getting some members through the normal Titan fight last night:

Jumping partially negates Landslides knockback.

It seems that the game code stops the knockback effect the second your feet touch the ground from a jump. By running sideways out of the AOE and jumping the instant I heard the "CRACK!" of him using the move, I saved myself from a lag-induced hit three times (in one go). I landed at the edge of the arena and ran back up to join the fight. Only one time did it not work, when I was already standing right by the edge and got sent flying over it.

Something to play with maybe?

One thing I've found out while doing Titan HM was when I was unable to get out of the marking for landslide (was typing something to the group), I immediately started running toward him, sure enough I got hit with the move but by me running closer to him it didn't knock me off (i was about mid way to titan when the casting bar was over), there still was a knock back but not to push me off. As far as jumping method it seems interesting but its rare I get caught in landslide to begin with. Unless I'm typing something in chat.

Landslide is pretty slow. Always, always, always anticipate a landslide during the most inopportune time of a bomb pattern. The first phase, it is when you are running to the area where the first bomb has just exploded. In the third phase it is right on top of you when you are waiting for the first set of bombs to explode. The slow speed of landslide does allow strafe dodging, unlike the plumes which have a much faster cast.

I dont know if its just me but does titan seem to lag for anybody? It seems like the last few days the lag has gotten extremely worse. Trying to dodge the plumes is practically impossible it clearly shows im not in the aoe but yet i get hit.

Tuesday night was especially bad for the duty finder. I dont usually lag but las night was awful. 4 relic players couldnt down demon wall in AK. We kept gettng kocked off or stuck in poison because of it. The bees kept killing the whm because i couldnt grab them , my abilities just wouldnt fire.

In titans case i heard from a few people that weight of the land makes them lag like crazy and sometimes landslide. Of course i have no way of knowing if its the server or them, (i would say them because otherwise everyone woud have a prolem such as last nights duty finder) so i cant say for certain that the titan fight is semi-bugged with lag.

Move after every cast, or have your tank watch for the cast and throw up an <se.7> macro. If you are constantly moving you will be halfway out of the plume when it begins, and already moving so you will be totally out of it when it hits. If you want extra assurance, cast a fast spell or attack to have the server reset your position when you think that you are out of the range.
