I'm an English speaker living in China and want to switch to a JP server when the server transfers get introduced this next week, for latency and ping reasons. What JP servers have high English speaking populations? I would enjoy a good FC as I am very happy with my current FC on Leviathan.

I'm Durandal and we have a fair bit too (legacy)
Masamune seems to have a fair number. Seen shouts for 2 or 3 different English-speaking Oceanic-based FCs.
I would say Masamune as well. Fair amount of english players here.
Tonberry unofficial Aus server even some of the JP complaint that too many English speaking players here xD

another question.. if I join these severs, is it possible to join one of your FCs? I'd think it impossible to find an English speaking FC... a good one at that- that is nice and helps players and such.

You should be fine anywhere, lots of us on legacy JP servers etc are ex-FFXI players and generally helpful
