'Character' or 'Toon'. The debate has induced various types of rifts within the player community of XIV. More specifically, between the Vet XI players and WoW players. ****, it has even caused negative debate on this forum.
Well, the verdict is out...Our commander in chief has stated that 'TOON' is the word he would choose to describe his multiple, well, toons...
I'm sure many XI vets will be upset with this, however, we have put such faith into The Man who has created a great new world for us to enjoy. That being said, I'm willing to adhere (for now). I am all about an healthy community, and if it is necessary for me to change my old school premise of in-game terminologies, I am fine with it. TOON it is... Link below...

I never understood the fascination regarding the terminology in the first place. As long as it isn't a racist or sexist slur, I don't care.
You can even call them replicants if you want (just don't call them skin jobs).
