Please correct this article to reflect the change!

Anybody else notice that the date has changed to Nov. 25 on the Lodestone? I could have sworn I saw it say the 26th this morning.
correct the news pls
# Nov 24 2010 at 5:26 PM Rating: Decent
Seriously?

It was stated like 10 times that the US Lodestone had the wrong date(as the System Message and the EU+JP Lodestone had the same)

Still the news are about the date that was most obviously a typo.
Not to mention that the US Lodestone was corrected in the meantime...so PLS GODAMNIT correct the news for real.

I'm getting mad about such a little fuzzy useless thing, cause lots of ppl are nerdraging like hell over every itsy bitsy **** that makes FFXIV look worse then it already does...and false news like this are just like spilling oil into the fire.
Updates on the holidays?

Funny, Funny...

It's so funny to read MMO forums when an update has been delayed...in another MMO I played, the update was overdue by more than 10 hrs and there were more than 20 pages of people complaining that the Devs had given them "the wrong timeline again" and they couldn't log on to play while the update was in process. More people telling the complainers that there WAS a life outside of the MMO-- "go read a book, go get laid, etc" and it was just amusing how many people seemed as if they had no life beyond the MMO.
I say be thankful that we can still log on, even if we are just grinding. The updates will be there on the 26th, and I'm looking forward to them. As many of you said, I don't want SE to release an update that is filled with bugs. If they're just taking time to iron out the last-minute-found bugs, more power to them.
To everyone also in the US, have a happy (and filling) Turkey Day!!

wow! SE actually knows how to delay a game to improve on it before throwing it at us all messed up lol they are learning ..../cry im so proud of them...lol

Honestly, I've played other games where the updates took upwards of 12 hours longer than expected and then there were bugs on top of that. If SE wants to take another day to make sure the update runs smoothly let them. Its not like you're losing any playing time anyway. Many players said they shouldn't have rushed to release the game in an unfinished state and it would be hypocritical to demand that they stick to their schedule if they see potential problems with this huge update. This time around let them take their time to release what could potentially be one of SE's important updates ever.

OH MA GAWD...I have to wait another 24h, when actually it isnt even 24h, its 20 hours...the world will collapse in these 20 hours and I won't be able to see the "real" FFXIV anymore...please SE...everyone over at Japan in your Dev-Team must make sure its coming 18h later, not 20...that way we will be able to see the patch before the world collapses...

This delay isn't making or breaking my decision to continue playing FFXIV. Update delays do happen in other mmos, FFXIV is no different. Though having a delay right now isn't exactly the best move. As long as delays don't become a constant thing with this game, I won't have a problem. It is possible that they saw some problems with what they were going to update. Like a bug or some other issue they may have overlooked. If that's the case, I don't mind them delaying it to iron out some of those issues.

If they misjudged how long it would take to deliver with what they promised, fine. But, this is another thing that I don't want them making into a trend for this game. For whatever the reason is, I hope that this doesn't happen all of the time.

Either way, I'm looking forward to the update, to see what is implemented.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 24 2010 at 8:20 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I really honestly thought this company was trying to win people back, wrong. I understand, as I bet a lot of people understand, even at work whenever there is going to be some type of update in the systems, there are ALWAYS delays. The problem I have here is that since the launch of this game ,there has been NO actual content updates, just bug fixes & a few changes to existing content. Even this update for all the hype people might be giving it & even SE thinking they are doing something grand, they are really just fixing on going issues, same content. If you read what they are actually going to do in the updates this Nov & Dec, you will notice that the "additions" to this game are next to nothing. Some of them should have been in at launch.

AAAAH one day delay! The world is gonna end! *hides under a tiny umbrella*

Seriously though, I hope this is a sign that they are trying to make sure the patch is as bug free as possible. :)

It has been postponed to the 26th. Likely using the holiday as an opportunity to get everything they promised right the first time. Problem is, if they are lowering the SP requirements to R30 and all there really is to do is grind, what else is there to do until then <(0_0)>.

Unfortunately, this will be more ammo for the nay sayers. On the other hand it could just mean a bit more time to add a few more changes that where ready ahead of time. Still, not the best timing for a delay.

People need to learn some patience. It sounds to me like they want this update to be quality bug free as possible. The last thing they want to do is release a patch that has known bugs in it, and give you guys yet another reason to whine and b%#$@.

Palidor,

Sanity wont work here. Too many "Lurkers" who don't plan on playing beyond the free period. Parents wont pay for it. ;)
