Just about everything, especially the PS3.

What do I love about Final Fantasy XIV? Mainly, that's it's a Final Fantasy game that also fulfills my love of MMOs . . . and that I don't need a PC to play it. I fully intend to get a PC for gaming someday, but as I student, well, it's hard to save up money, so I love that I get the chance to at least play FFXIV:ARR on the PS3 until I can get a PC.

The crafting is fun, fishing is relaxing, and playing a Bard is lovely. My male Miquote is amazing and I enjoy watching him while I play. I've made some decent friends in a lovely Linkshell, and I just generally enjoy the game in general.

And, as I Canadian, the answer to the question is 16.
Multi-class, world building

I'm a recent fan of FFXIV, I started playing FFXIV on a lark when it ran open beta phase 1 on PS4. I was blown away by the world and the multi-classing. I would love to play on my preferred platform as well, which I would be able to if I'm lucky enough to win.
hooked on FF

FF hooked me on the PS1 back in the day, and every new system I get is driven by my need to play the latest and greatest FF - - so XIV, here I am!

I love how beautiful the game is. Even after playing for almost 8 months, I stop at least once or twice a night at a new spot and am struck by some beautiful sight. Maximized graphics settings helps, but still. It's always breathtaking!
FFXI > FFXIV

i have played for ffxi for years and would love the opportunity to try out FFXIV
Do I have to choose?
# Apr 11 2014 at 12:54 PM Rating: Decent
The look, the lore, the game-play, the funny side-side-quests and even sillier events, absolutely everything! Even the slightly too fast leveling at low levels is a bonus for those who remember FFXI.

Edit: And -despite not living in Canada- just because, the answer is 16.

Yoshi-P is my homeboy.

The thing I love most is Yoshi-P and his devotion to the game and the fans. He truly is a genius for being able to save the game. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have the amazing game we have now,
Love this game!

I think what I love most about FFXIV is its visual design! From the gorgeous scenery to the little details on our earrings to the flashy battle animations and effects. The overall aesthetic of this game is just so beautiful, and my love for it is closely seconded by my love for the writing team! The world's lore and story is great and I love all the funny item descriptions, references, and puns in the FATE and quest descriptions. This game is a joy to play, especially when my friends are online. But the great thing is that it's easy to group up for content through the party and duty finder when they are not online. I played FFXI for a decade and was sad to move on, but FFXIV has been so amazing I haven't looked back once! Keep up the amazing job dev team!
I <3 FFXIV

What about the rest of the world?

Where is the equivalent competition for the rest of the world? Why is it that these competitions are always restricted to North American residents only? :(
What I Love about FFXIV!?!?
# Apr 11 2014 at 6:50 AM Rating: Default
one MAIN reason why I love FFXIV... Well... Its FINAL FANTASY! Been a Fan since I was a Kid First coming into this world in FFVII! I Love the Active Combat System and Music. Especially Lost City of Amdapor; that music fits just GREAT. The atmosphere of this world is beautiful and You just love the feeling you get when your wandering. The End Game COIL Raids give a Great Challenge to most and You just want to BEAT it even through the many many fails! The Story is Great so far and I Wait for every big patch to see what will happen NEXT! The Story is unfolding just great and it was like an introduction to the game and NPC's. The game is easy to pick up and start playing. This is why I LOVE FFXIV and now I cant wait to play when I get off WORK! See all of ya in Eorzea!

One of the reason why i love FFXIV is the music. This is the only MMORPG were i don't turn down the volume and open iTunes. The background music and SFX work so great together, it creates an immersion in to the FF world!
Why I love Final Fantasy
# Apr 11 2014 at 12:16 AM Rating: Decent
Because every bit of this game has been made with love, more so than any other MMO, and maybe any other game I've played has. It oozes out of every small detail, from the way your character grits their teeth when they run, to the unforgiving mechanics of Coils of Bahamut, this game is Yoshi-P's love letter to the MMO Genre. Everything about this game is perfect, the combat system, while slower than other games, makes every action you choose to take more decisive and important. The fights are tuned to make them challenging but not impossible, and the graphics are absolutely gorgeous. But even more than that, it feels like a Final Fantasy game, and it makes me smile. I guess that's the main reason why I love this game, the silly quests and the ridiculous names for the Fates make me smile and feel good inside.

I played in many parts of this game, and I liked the fact that there exists the anime panache associated with MMORPG now.

what I love is the attention given to the story, the vast amount of beautiful places to explore, and the never ending journey to delve into new dungeons and raids.
What I love about FFXIV
# Apr 10 2014 at 10:21 PM Rating: Decent
What I love about FFXIV is the idea of being able to play multiple classes and being able to switch at any time. On top of that, the classes are rather unique and I do look forward to more combinations in the future so that I can try more different jobs. I also love the lore in it and I'm always constantly looking forward to the new content. I got excited about the game that I even asked my girlfriend to play with me which was kinda sweet. Recently with the new patch, they finally released one of my favourite, Leviathan, and I'm looking forward to go up against it along with all the other new content. I'm still trying to unlock all the classes and collectables as I go along, but it's just sad that I was a little late in joining, so I don't have the Cat Sith Doll Minion and the Moogle Cap.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
# Apr 10 2014 at 8:40 PM Rating: Decent
I played 1.0, and despite it's shortcoming, I thought the game was magical. ARR brought the love I had of Final Fantasy & specifically FFXIV 1.0 to new heights and to more people. Now I play FFXIV with my friends & family, they can all enjoy in the great experience Final Fantasy has given me throughout my life. There is nothing to hate about FFXIV:ARR and it is one of the few MMO's where a subscription can be justified. Once I show someone the game or even let them take it for a spin they are hooked. What I love about FFXIV:ARR is it's commitment to the players & the community, what else could you ask for?

The music is probably the thing I love the most about it, honestly. Although the reboot in general has been pretty good!

One of the best MMOs ever!!!
# Apr 10 2014 at 8:02 PM Rating: Decent
Final Fantasy is one of the best games I've played. When i tried the PS4 beta, i was amazed at the graphics, the music and the overall flow of the game. It was really fun and i was disappointed when the beta ended. I want to continue where i left off and play with my friends again!
