from zone in, pop an IVU potion then hug the right wall all the way around till you reach the chokidai pens, it is not a far run. he spawns inside the pen at the bottom along the north wall. paste into your chardokb_1.txt map file:

P -40.0000, -165.0000, -15.0000, 240, 0, 0, 3, a_leprous_chokidai_(1.5)

This mob should be flagged as a related creature for the Ranger 1.5 quest. :)

that location puts the mob's marker outside the zone geometry. correct location to paste into your chardokb_1.txt map file:

P -40.0000, -165.0000, -15.0000, 240, 0, 0, 3, a_leprous_chokidai_(1.5)

How to capture this mob

I beat it down to 14% but you could probably stop around 20%

I then turned away so i would not melee it and nuked the adds while doing this.
While doing no damage to the mob after about a minute it suddenly became captured and appeared on my cursor

So what I am thinking is you can beat any of these Ranger epic mobs down then just wait patiently
a few minutes and you will capture it. Make sure you have all damage shields/ procs off.
Don't kick it either.

Hope this info helps

Casts a spell / proc called Festering Spores. I resisted it each time, so I don't know what it does.

The "a leprous chokidai" that needs to be captured for the early stages of the Ranger Epic (1.5) spawns very close to the zone in. If you are lucky enough to have mobs that don't see invis along the short path there, you can pull it without a single add.

From the zone room, go right. At the next intersection you go right. There is a pen of domesticated chokidai there. Some can see invis, it's a crapshoot what you get. Among those spawn points toward the side of the zone in is where my "a leprous chokidai" spawned. I ensnared it (immediately hitting sneak hide to avoid adds while casting) and then using innate camo ran back to the zone in where my crew was waiting. It came down the hall all alone, either due to lucky pathing or probably because nobody nearby really wanted a leper hanging near them.

This was my third mob of the captures. So far I've managed to get them all on the first attempt. I clicked off all damage shields and used a shield in my off-hand so I wouldn't dual wield any punches. It also helped makeup some of the AC loss due to clicking off Briarcoat and PotW. I removed all my hotkeys that invoke combat skills (like kick) and I'm glad for it. I found myself hitting that hotkey repeatedly during the fight out of habit. It was a long fight with the crappy dps afforded by the eight loop lasso (using the net on the other mobs was even worse).

Im on emarr server. Does anyone else have the problem that the lasso wont catch him?It will not capture it just keeps going till its almost dead. ive killed it once then came back again to try again thinking was bugged spawn, but after 5 tries(only killing once) actually more then that due to zoning out when below 25 and trying again, it still doesnt work. Anyone else having this problem?

This post is pretty old, but i'll reply to it anyway. Just anycase anyone else if having the problem. If your killing these guys, make sure you dont have anything in your offhand when using laso. I put a firebettle eye with it. Or dont have DS, as you know from the others. Thats the only thing. Im not very for sure about it though, because i havent killed the chardok one. Very soon i will and i will edit if it fails. GL!

Got this guy, but he did not respawn with the otehr MoBs on the standard spawn rate, and did not spawn for 3 cycles, so we left. Anyone know the spawn time on this guy?
