could the event in question be the one with the variable clubs as rewards? there are a bunch of them in AH history (varying level requirements, all jobs) and they all have MP+1% HP+1%.. nothing spectacular, but could be useful if skilling up club on a job that doesn't have many options (Bard does come to mind >_>;; )
i seem to remember all of those clubs being named for critters in the chinese zodiac

I may be mistaken, but I think I remember these were used in a beta event, where you fed Moon Carrots to some sort of hare, (star hare??), and you were supposed to get something.
I found them, they are listed in Alla's database here:

It's near the bottom of the page between Death Ball and Egg of Bird (Bird Egg).
It looks like they were part of an event in 2004. Funny I don't remember it, but back then I was more interested in leveling and thought all the events were lame.
